Better than the plastic ones
I can’t find the exact silicon plastic massage ball that my physio showed me but this is a good alternative compared to the other hard plastic balls on Amazon

5 out of 5 Stars (5)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (5/5)[VALUE] (5/5)[EASE OF USE] (5/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (5/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]This is a versatile product that is great for many therapy style programs that you can do at home or in the office.I ordered this originally for my Wife for use on her plantar fasciitis. The cork balls are quite solid and work excellently for rolling under your arches to relieve painful bouts of tight plantar tendons.I tried using the larger 3 inch ball on my back, shoulders, and hips...it really works well to release tight muscles. I placed the ball in a old compression sock that had lost its mate. The sock is a knee high, therefore it is long. I use this to hold the ball in to prevent it from dropping when I am using it on the wall. I would not use this to lay on because I do not feel that I would be able to steer it towards the correct area needing release. Also, keeping it in the sock keeps it dust and dirt free and prevents it from rolling around when not in use.The small diameter pair of 2.4 inch cork balls are great to use on your neck and spine. When using on your neck, you can use them much like a cranial ball set. You place them on the occipital ridge at the back of your head while laying on your back. The balls cradle your head and apply just enough pressure from the weight of your head to ease tension. The 2.4/3.0 inch cork balls are approximately the size of a tennis ball and you can really get a decent relief from muscle tightness. However, users need to exercise caution. You can go too hard so ease into it and do some research on how to maximize the effects of myofascial release techniques using a cork ball prior to trying it.I have used a cork ball previously so this set was ordered to compliment the other ball I have, which is a 3.0 inch sized cork ball. With this set, I have a pair of the larger sized balls, and now a pair of the smaller sized cork balls too. This will be helpful and a time saver. I am now able to do bilateral treatment at the same time, should I choose to.The balls are easy to use (with practice) and they ares easy to keep clean. I use yoga mat cleaner and allow the cork to dry. It is quite easy to maintain. Since placing the balls in-turn into a sock, they do not have contact with anything to make them dirty, therefore, I find myself not needing to clean them as often. I do wish they came with a storage bag to keep them between uses. All in all, this is a sturdy and solid set of myofascial release balls. They are quite durable and comfortable to use. The balls are made from seemingly quality cork and there has been zero issues using it daily. Highly recommended. In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.
