these are the best timer plugs I have bought so far. very reliable and they work. I have bought a few duds in my time. no batteries needed!!! I own three. one digital.

Superb timer
Superb timer, highly reliable. Note if you're going to use this for timing heavy duty loads (e.g. hydro lights) you should get a Contactor too otherwise you'll blow the unit. But for normal household uses you won't need one.

Good timer, Buy from somewhere else though
These timers are usually very dependable as I have owned 2 of them for several years and still fully functional to this day. However the one I received from amazon had been previously opened/repaired and has failed after a few hours after operation.

Grasslin is very dependable.
This timer switches large resistive loads with no sign of any overheating contacts. (Not tried on other loads). Very easy to set, with a choice of OFF/Timed/On.

Stopped working after two months of use.
Rubbish! Stopped working all of a sudden after two months of use. I may have got a defective item, in which case I'd be grateful for a replacement.
