I Love This Bible, Second Time Purchasing!
I purchased the Teal Soft Cover Bible, and it’s lovely. It’s a Large Bible, Easy to read, the font is big enough that you don’t have to strain to read it. I previously had the hard cover Bible, I loved that one too, Both are great Bibles and are sturdy. I also did an highlighter test! I used an Bic highlighter (regular highlighter) and it bleeds through these pages, I also tried an Frixion highlighter and Mr. Pen highlighter, and both of those work great for this Bible. I hope that helps! God Bless! ♥️

Q**A
Maybe best for teens or young adults
While this is a thick Bible, that's to be expected from a study one with larger print. I wouldn't say this is "large print" but it's definitely bigger. "Comfort print" is the perfect way to describe it. It's easier to read!First - be careful to read the title. This is a BIBLE STUDY BIBLE. Not a Study Bible. There's a big difference. There's no study notes throughout, but (almost) every chapter has a mini Bible study printed after it.I want to compare this to the NKJV Evangelical Study Bible which I also ordered. I'll refer to this as TBSB and that one as the ESB for ease:Size & look:ESB is thicker and heavierBoth have ribbon bookmarks, ESB has 1 and TBSB has 2 (different colors is nice - one for your personal reading and one for a group study)Color pages:ESB is filled with full color photos and illustrations.TBSB is two color toned throughout, Titles, headings and boxes are in a blue gray color, everything else is black. There are no illustrations or maps in TBSB, except for some full color maps in the very back.Page quality:Both are the same, easy to read "comfort print" fontBoth are easy to read pages, the text behind the page doesn't leak through too muchBoth have fairly narrow margins, without much room for notesStudy Notes:ESB has notes at the bottom of the page. Sometimes to clarify a verse, explain the original language, or show an illustration to put the text in context.TSB has no notes at the bottom of the page.Personal Study Sections:ESB has no personal Bible Study questionsTBSB is all about personal Bible study sections. At the end of (almost) every chapter there are blue outlined boxes. In these boxes you're asked a series of "Start", "Grow" and "Go" questions to help you digest and apply the passage to your life. Some of these are a bit childish as though this Bible is more suited for teens. For example, for the chapter on 2 Chron. 17 in the "Start" section, you're asked questions like "What were/are some of your favorite subjects to study in school? Draw a picture of or make a list of the character traits and experience this ideal teacher would have been." But it's definitely not a kids' Bible as other sections have questions like "What are some companies or organizations you dread having to call with a customer service issue?" (Ps 117 & 118), "find something in your home or workplace that is broken....if you are able to repair that item, do so..." (Joel 3) and "What are some of the biggest contracts or legal agreements you have signed?" (Rom 7).Resources:The ESB has almost 200 pages of resources in the back that include a large concordance, maps, and various helpful lists.TBSB has no lists but it does have about 125 page concordance and some full color maps.Reading Plans:There are none in the ESBTBSB does not have a daily plan but it does have an intro into how to use the Bible - you set the pace and start/stop places. There's also a short intro on how to use this personally or in a group study. And there's a short section with some reference listed out for you to do some short topical studies.Overall, I like this Bible Study Bible but I'm not certain who the audience is. Some of the attention getting and application questions are a bit cheesy for me. Maybe it would be best used as a young adult, or college/career group study.
