Video to open it up needs to slow down
This is obviously an excellent product, and I will have loads of fun, but here are my thoughts; Honestly, this video was more of a "run" through! He talks too fast, does the steps too fast, and some scenes are deleted. It's hard to figure out what he's doing sometimes. First, it sat in my house for over a month because it did not come with instructions. Then one day I opened it up anyway, and was told to go online. Too fast! Had to keep rewinding to repeat the steps. I didn't know that "popping" the legs meant just pulling them out (I was afraid to break them). And for some reason the legs wouldn't stay in the groove no matter how tight I tightened them until I put the easel on its side. Then he says "when you're in the tabletop mode you can pull out the storage drawer," and the video is cut. I had to keep rewinding to see that opening the wing nuts did NOT open the drawer like he made it sound. The easel wasn't in tabletop mode yet to pull the drawer out. Also, he doesn't mention if you shorten the legs, all have to be shortened the same length, or if the back leg has to be longer.

Great Quality
The stand is sturdy and well built. The drawer compartment is a great touch and holds all my oils along with my brushes.I like the brass hardware.I ordered two of these. The only slight complaint was one of the stands, the milled recess for locking the legs into place was a little off so I had to chisel out a small piece of the recessed edge so the one leg would be properly allined with the other leg in the setup position

This easel is incredible!
This easel is incredible! It can be used for anything from charcoals to oil paints. I really needed an easel, and I am so glad we got this one. It's very sturdy and doesn't move at all on the carpet. You can adjust it to whatever height you want, too. The drawer is a little bit difficult to pull in and out, but other than that it is pretty much perfect!

Sturdy but not very portable
This easel is a gift for my daughter. It was not easy to set up without instructions. My husband swiftly figured it out. I would’ve given this easel 5 stars because my daughter was soooo pleased and began using it as soon as she got supplies. But it’s not really easy to transport without banding the legs down. There are multiple spots that will pinch or smack fingers. It is very sturdy and well constructed. No complaints really. My daughter is very pleased. 😄

This is a perfect easel
I bought this easel for my 12 year old daughter and it is well made and perfect; I can't imagine getting one of these without a drawer as it holds all of her paints and brushes. The additional palette for mixing paints is great too. I highly recommend. btw- we were on our way out the door when the easel arrived and I wanted to set it up quickly for my daughter to paint while we were at the grocery store; it took all of 3-5 minutes to open extend the legs and set up.

Go for it.
I love this easel. I’m new to painting and wanted a nice simple easel that would last a long time. This is that easel. When not in use I leave it standing, as it is quite beautiful on its own. In the picture, I have it in my bedroom. It’s easy enough to move room to room even without folding it down. The company has a nice little YouTube video for instructions on how to use the easel. The drawer and storage are as described. Parts move smoothly and seems of decent quality for a beginner.

Sturdy so far. Fine quality. So far. So good! Thanks
Solid. Easy to set up. Did polyurethane "drawers" Your recommendations for best method. Treating palate with Linseed oil. Others have suggested I epoxy outside of screws. They warn that they tend to fall off. Hope not. I'm pleased

Not perfect, but gets the job done
This easel was super easy to set up, and works fine for my needs. It’s not terribly sturdy when set up as a tripod, and I do wonder how it will hold up in the long run.
