Encyclopedia Brown and the Case of the Soccer Scheme

Some mistakes but mostly better stories
As an adult, I can usually find mistakes in his books. I will be purposely vague so that I do not spoil the stories. I would worry about the honesty of 45. Even after reading his explanation, I still do not understand how one regular bike pedal can move forward while the other moves backward in some fashion other than the normal circular movement. There are a couple of stories based on word play, e.g. someone said too much. But this book has more fact based stories where you need to know some fact, common or exotic, in order to solve the mystery. The answer to one story is even very clever. There are no stories based on a knowledge of US culture, so the book can be read around the world. In conclusion, there is no decline in the quality from the previous books and the book is worth buying.
