I don't think there is anything to dislike about this dimmer switch, it works exactly as intended. I intend to use it for dimming some LED light bars that I'm going to attach to my vehicle for daytime driving. I have yet to get around to this project but to ensure that it works I tested it with a simple LED strip first of all. I think this dimmer switch will be very useful and while it is advertised for lights I don't think that it is limited to them.

I bought two of these as they are lower profile and less obtrusive than the dimmers we had mounted under the counter. I installed them both and one works fine and shows no voltage at the off position. The other shows ~11 V at the "off" position and ~12.6 V at full "on". With the dimmer in off, the lights remain on. One star for having to painfully install, uninstall, test, return and replace an inoperative dimmer. If the next one works I will adjust the review. FYI, there is no detent at the off postion; rotary motion is smooth through out range on both the functional and non functional dimmer.

there's no off detent to the dial. It dims my 24v tape just fine it is a bit sensitive when you first start to turn it and it reaches full brightness about 3/4 of the way though. I'll be using this in conjunction with a light switch. Very cheap alternative to an ELV 120v dimming driver

Works great. Dimmed the low voltage string lights (A.C.) in our backyard landscape. This is a DC only dimmer and needs a rectifier ahead of it (converts AC to DC). The result was dramatic.I installed it in a weaherproof enclosure, as it is not weatherproof.This dimmer would be ideal for interior LED low voltage DC lighting. Maybe kitchen undercounter lights?Hope this helps, may God Bless !

The product is bad in a way that you would expect. The first thing was to adjust everything the first time. Work with me, then comment on the strongest thing, and then burn the piece from inside.

Used this on my outdoor LED strips that are along my front steps. Prior 'plastic' dimmers were awful in comparison to this,. It works EXACTLY as described.NO flickerFULL variable control of the LED's and they go from full brightness to dim with a nice variable control.The unit is strong, in a metal housing and is easily connected.I will be buying more!

Broke 12 hours after being installed. I used it for maybe an hour at most it worked and I turened it off and went to bed. I woke up and I wasn’t working. I trouble shooted everything and the lights work it’s the dang dimmer that was broken. Very disappointing.

Nicely built, mounts flat, screw lugs are firm and secure. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars, when rotating the dimmer to the lowest/off position there is no click or any indication to let you know there is no draw.
