Intended for professionals - not residential homeowners
Both the title and Introduction are slightly misleading in that the intended audience for this book is professional irrigation system installers, not residential homeowners. From the homeowner standpoint, it’s really not “complete.” There’s a lot of useful information in this book if you’re constructing an irrigation system for a farm, golf course, park, or any large area. However, it doesn’t include information about analyzing and solving problems in typical residential irrigation systems. If there’s ever another edition of this book, it would be helpful to change the title/subtitle to clarify the scope. If you’re looking for a book on solving problems with residential irrigation systems, I recommend “Landscape Irrigation System Repair Manual” https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0982378653/.

A must have resource for every landscape or irrigaiton professional
Larry Keesen put together a great reference book that every professional in the landscape and irrigation industry should own. This book doesn't teach you how to design irrigation systems as the title might indicate but it is incredibly useful in understanding how they operate and the pitfalls to designing a system. I am fortunate to know Larry and he is a wealth of knowledge. This book captures a sliver of that, but its got all the important stuff. This book has taught me what to look for when reviewing irrigation plans or constructed systems. This book also teaches a lot of the considerations which must be given when managing an irrigation system. The information is well organized and clearly presented. The questions following each chapter are a little complex, which is a my only criticism, but they still do a great job reinforcing the topics.

Buyer Beware - Limited to Lawns
With the title "The Complete Irrigation Workbook," I thought I was getting a book that would educate me about designing irrigation for gardens, pastures, orchards and similar uses of water and land. This is a very comprehensive book -- if you're trying to keep a golf course evenly watered. The book is limited to lawns and the considerations that are important to keeping expanses of lawn properly irrigated. It looks like a great resource if that's your interest. Nothing in the book's description indicated the limited focus of this book.

It is more suited to professionals than personal weekend property care
It is a technical publication that covered everything from planning to installing a home sprinkler system. I was looking for a manual to help me do some of the repair work on my sprinkler system.
