Thin but Sturdy Sheets – Perfect for Crafting and Laser Projects
I picked up this 5-pack of 12x12 balsa/basswood sheets, and they’ve been excellent for lightweight projects. At 1/16" thick, they’re thin enough to cut easily with a craft knife or laser cutter, but still strong enough to hold shape without crumbling. The sheets are smooth and consistent across the pack, with very little warping. I’ve used them for stencils, model building, and small engraving projects, and they take detail well. The size makes them versatile for both hobby work and laser cutting experiments. Pros: Thin, lightweight sheets that cut cleanly Smooth, even surface ideal for engraving and painting Consistent size and quality across all five pieces Great for stencils, models, or DIY crafts Cons: At 1/16", they’re too thin for heavy-duty projects (better for light crafts) Being natural wood, some minor grain variation is expected Overall, these sheets are a solid option for hobbyists, laser users, or anyone needing thin, workable wood panels. Good quality and value for small projects.

Nice and flat and easily cut with utility knife
Worked perfectly to make replacement blades for one of those Christmas candle carousels. Grandson knocked over the original and broke a few blades. This was correct thickness and simple to cut with a utility knife. Wood was nice and flat and no warped pieces in the pack. Parts that I made remained flat as well

Best crafting wood
Used these to make horses for my daughter’s birthday! They were easy to cut with super strong scissors and were very light weight! They were so large in size that I have so many left over!

1 inch too wide for cricut! Have to hand cut first!
Wood is pretty good quality. Cuts decently. However... cricut won't cut anything over 11 inches wide when it comes to wood.... and this is 12 inches... so every single board i have to load requires that i cut 1 inch off the side..

Not correct wood!
Not sure what type of wood this really is! I tried using what I thought was balsa wood, but indeed it’s not. My machine can cut balsa wood, but this is actually bass wood! This will be returned with a few missing pieces! Not happy
