Handy pocket illuminated magnifier with white and UV illumination
A handy pocket-sized magnifier that slides out of a protective case and features 3 different colour LED illuminators. The unit when folded measures just under 8.5cm long, just over 4.5cm wide and about 2cm thick. The lens area extends by 4.5cm in the first position without illumination and then extending it further past the click enables the LEDs.A small slide switch gives you a choice of two white LEDs for each of the higher magnification lenses or UV for the central lens. The UV LED is handy for checking security marks such as on bank notes, although it isn't very bright and is best used in a low light environment. The LEDs run from 3 LR44 button cells (included and installed) which to replace you need to prise off the cover - a rechargeable battery would have been nice. The 3 lenses are 25mm, 12mm and 8mm diameter and give you approximately 30x, 60x or 90x magnification respectively. Focus distance is several cm from the object. Image quality is decent from the lenses which I assume are plastic so handy that they are protected from scratches. In summary good value and the UV light is especially handy for checking bank notes or UV marker pens.

Very, Very Useful
Well this is something I never really thought I needed until I got it.This is a compact unit which has 3 lenses 30x, 60x and 90x, 30x being the biggest size with 90x the smallest and it is small, about 6mm in diameter. When you open this up an LED automatically comes on which is a nice touch. The LED light can be switched between the 60x, the 90x and also switched to UV, they all light the 30x. It comes with the batteries installed. The magnifier is of a full plastic construction but does not feel cheap.I have used this a lot more than I anticipated in the past few weeks for looking at jumper numbers on a Raspberry Pi board, wattage output on USB C chargers, some ridiculously small writing on some instructions and a lot more things. This is now a permanent fixture on my computer desk always within arms reach. In conclusion, I really like this and for the current price of £4.99 I think it is good value for money.I hope you found this review helpful.
