Great ROAD bike helmet. Comforable and light!
Light as a feather, amazing comfort! Perfect ROAD bike helmet. Do not let the name fool you, this is not a functional “aero” helmet. However, great purchase for the purposes of road bikes. Great retention system. Cleans easily. Sizing chart is accurate in my experience.

Most comfortable helmet I've ever tried on, and didn't keep...
This was a tough product to send back. Everything about the helmet seemed 5 star. It came out of the box looking flawless. When I put it on, it was the most comfortable helmet I had ever worn. The 360 degree retention system it utilizes makes for an even tension all the way around my head. I fit right at the border between most small and medium helmets (that 55-56cm line), and the medium was a perfect fit. The ports for sunglasses were thoughtfully constructed, and the straps fell just right around my ears and felt silky smooth. But I never took the tags off or took it for a ride. Although this helmet seemed to tick off all of the boxes, I just could not get past how it looked on my head. If you like the looks, I would say go for it. It felt great and plenty light. It does flare out where it meets the temple, so it has more of what I would call the "mushroom" effect. Some feel it has more of an old school "hair net" look, and if you like that then I would say go for it. You can't really tell that from the photos, but it's apparent once you put it on. The ARO5 looks better in my opinion, but I was more interested in Summer cooling, and that's why I went after the ARO3. I can't imagine those large vents not providing a ton of circulation. And despite not being the lightest helmet on the market, it did not feel at all heavy to me. If they ever update the aesthetic a bit, I may very well find myself coming back to this helmet. If it kept the shape of the ARO5 with the vent sizes of the ARO3, it would be a slam dunk.

Nice helmet! Comfortable, safe, adjusts easily. I usually wear a small but got the medium as others had recommended and it fits just right.

A bit small
This is the first time I am using an Oakley helmet. I've always used Giro and and I have a Kask as well. I am always a size medium. But this Oakley helmet is a bit small compared to other brands or might be just this model. It just fits my head and with a sweat band (Halo), it just fits my head. When turning the wheel, I could get between 1-3 clicks already. It just feels too snugged or perhaps I just need to get used to it.Other than that, I like this helmet specially the slot for the shades.
