What happens is that the sleeve still gets wet and doesn't stay dry like they say in the advertisement. So it's the same whether you use it or not. you're going to wet your hand and where you have the bottle All you do is make the bottle look prettier and covered.

It didn't live up to expectations. I bought them to help keep my water cold longer and it failed,even with ice added.
