Comfortable fit
I hate having to wear a mask but this seems like it's going to be a good one

Eyeglasses will fog up, but good quality.
It's durable, but does not have enough air flow for people with eye glasses.

Mask that goes on your face
It is a bit too big for me and I make it work.I use it in a meat market while I clean. It blocks out whatever gives me a runny nose after I am in there.

Fit issue, Won’t lay against cheek, and nose pain
Had high hopes, since dashed from fit issues. I have yet to find an adjustment to prevent the sides( against the cheek) from having a gap large enough to fit a finger in, so not for any heavy dust environment but will work for general protection. 3/26/25 update, after all day of use I am unable to use this mask at all, due to the pain point on the bridge of my nose created by the hard plastic on the mask where it meets the nose. I tried adjusting the two straps but to no avail. Be aware, If you have sharp features, this mask may be painful to wear for any length of time. I would return them but too late now that I have used one.

the exhalation valve on BASE CAMP dust face mask works better than the one on my $165 respirator
I have become very sensitive to sawdust and pollen. It affects my throat. So I've been trying various masks and respirators. If your concern is fine particles, this BASE CAMP mask is well worth a try. It fit my face fine and is better at blocking dust than my $165 respirator. The exhalation valve on my well-known name-brand $165 respirator is a thick rubber flap which makes a less than perfect seal so that dust and pollen get into your airway when you breathe in. I had to attach a piece of N95 mask over the exhalation valve to fix that problem on my expensive respirator, but then it steams up fairly quickly. By contrast, the exhalation valve on this BASE CAMP dust mask is a thin and very supple disc about 5/8 inch in diameter, and it forms a perfect seal. You can make sure the valve is seated properly by placing your lips tightly against the seal housing on the inside of the mask and then trying to suck air in. You should get no air whatsoever if your lips are tight against the plastic housing and the seal is properly seated inside. If it isn't properly seated, the housing can be opened by holding the exterior valve housing with one hand while turning the interior housing CCW until it comes apart.Of course, the respirator with full polycarbonate lens offers eye protection too, and filters are available for blocking vapors as well as particles. But if your concern is breathing in fine particles, this BASE CAMP mask in my experience is superior to the expensive respirator because of the latter's "Achilles heel", its exhalation valve. I made sure there was no foreign matter keeping the respirator's valve from closing properly. The valve's imperfect seal was also a cause for concern among the medical profession, according to articles on NIH.govThe bridge of the BASE CAMP dust mask has a clip inside it which you can pinch to help form a good seal against your nose and face. When wearing the BASE CAMP mask, I had no problem with my $12 Pyramex safety glasses (which fit over prescription glasses) steaming up.

What Type of Nonotechnology are Used in These Masks? Made in China Too. Update: March 4, 2022
For the past year, I have been hearing about nanotechnology that has been used in medications. And, now I am reading about nanotechnology that are being used in masks! I can't believe this! I didn't even notice that these masks use nanotechnology. It even says it in plain sight in their advertisement and on the package. How blind could I be?Some face masks that are made throughout the world contain nanotechnology-derived graphene. Graphene is known as a cause of pulmonary toxicity. What does that mean? Well, if the graphene comes off the mask and into the lungs, it could cause health issues. “Graphene is a strong, very thin material that is used in fabrication, but it can be harmful to lungs when inhaled and can cause long-term health problems,” reported CBC News.NOTE: I DO NOT KNOW IF THESE MASKS CONTAIN OR USE GRAPHENE.But, I would like to know. And, if not graphene, what type of nanotechnology is being used in these masks and how safe is it?Made in China? If had known that, I would not have bought them in the first place. In early November 2021, I emailed Base Camp and this is what I said in that letter:To: Base Camp,Through the Amazon website, I purchased a set of masks from your company, didn't notice in the ad that it said “nanotechnology”. What type of nanotechnology are we talking about? Be specific.Thank you,(Vibrational World)Their response arrived on November 11, 2021. Here is what that email said:(Sender's name removed by VibrationalWorld for privacy reasons) HelloThe nanotechnology used in masks has the following characteristics:1. Nano-linen yarn fabric has better pulling endurance than conventional chaotic chiffon, is not easy to pull silk, is not easy to penetrate the meat, and has a unique coolness, natural feel, and softness.2. The fabric using nanotechnology, the structure surface is covered with a layer of chemical substances, this layer of substance can make the water on the fabric slide directly, so the nano hemp yarn has a waterproof effect, and also has antifouling, oil-proof, antibacterial effects, and comfortable At the same time, hygiene is ensured.3. Good abrasion resistance, high elasticity, soft hand feeling, uniform dyeing, and even silk performance, cooling effect, refreshing and comfortable.SincerelyBASE CAMP Team UPDATE, NOVEMBER 13, 2021Since I did not feel fully satisfied with their last letter, I emailed them again with a new letter:UPDATE: NOVEMBER 17, 2021No response yet.UPDATE: MARCH 4, 2022Still, No response to may last letter. I wonder why? Does anyone know what type of nanotechnology is used in these masks and is it safe?
