Sucks great!!!
I just use this thing yesterday and it was very easy to use, stick it in the water and it turns on. I had to pump water out of my pool because of all the rain we had so I would say I use it for about 45 minutes, but it was a constant Drain with a good flow. I have a 22,000 gallon pool and I probably had to take about 1000 gallons out it only took about 30 to 40 minutes so I can imagine if you have a bigger pool you may need a bigger pump but this one will do fine for most house pools or hot tubs.

Good piece of equipment!
This pump works very well. Must keep clamp tightened, or it will spew water from the top, however. Otherwise, this really helps keep water off the driveway

The float hung up.
I bought this pump initially just to lower the water in my pool by about 18 inches after Hurricane Helena had flooded it. The pump worked fine. I put it away in the shed, and approximately two months later, I retrieved it. I wanted to pump some water out of my fish pond. The pump would not work. What happened is that the float, although it rose to the top, would not activate when I submerged the pump a couple of feet. I pulled the pump out, and I had to shake the float quite a bit. Finally, you could hear something loosen up inside, and then the pump came on and worked as it should. I'm not sure why the float got stuck inside its watertight compartment. I hope that, in the future, if I need it in an emergency, it will work. Other than that, the pump had great flow and is easy to manage, particularly in terms of its weight.

empty 15,000 gallons in less than 5 hours, works well and light
I don't know what the one stars mean, this pump works as intended. Clamp available to force the run down to 1.5 inch of water. I regret the lack of intake filter for small debris, but it worked and it emptied a 15,000 gallons pool in less than 5 hours

Stopped working after 2-3 months
Received the pump about 2-3 months ago. Worked great until it didn’t. We have tried troubleshooting with no luck. Ended up having to buy another pump

Good pump but doesn’t come with a necessary adapter.
Works great. But why wouldn’t it come with a normal 3/4 GTH adapter? I still haven’t found and cheap adapter.Jury is still out if it keep this or return and buy a slightly more expensive version that comes with a standard GTH.
