On a beef-stick kick!
When I was going to order some more chomps, which has been what I’ve been getting for the past 6 months, these immediately piqued my interest because of the wagu label. I originally held off because they seemed a little pricey for 4 beef sticks, but then when I looked again at how much I had spent on the chomps on here.. they’re actually about a dollar cheaper for the same amount, so I decided to give it a shot.I am SO glad I did! The flavor is unlike any beef stick I have ever had before (in an amazing way). I don’t know if it’s the wagu, or the way they season them, but it’s so addicting I ate three before I had to stow the bag away. They’re about the same texture as the chomps, which I like, since super tough jerky can make my jaw hurt. Long story short, I have been converted and will hyper-fixate on these for the foreseeable future.

Pricey and underwhelming; gets better with age
I've had my eye on these for a while and finally decided to take the plunge. I'm a big jerky and beef stick fanatic so I'm pretty well versed in what is out there. While pricey, jerky in general is expensive these days so the cost wasn't too big of a factor even though you only get 4 beef sticks in the pack. I was, though, unsure how the wagyu would come across in a beef stick. Wagyu is traditionally very tender, which doesn't seem like something I would want in a beef stick. In jerky, I like the pull of the beef and a more dense mouthful.First impression: underwhelming. A bit too soft (almost slimy?) for me. The insides are very soft and the casing doesn't have that traditional snap you get as you bite into it. Additionally, the seasoning did not seem to do it any favors.Second impression: I had a second beef stick 24+ hours later. The package is not resealable (another con) and I didn't bother moving them over to a ziplock bag. After letting them sit out, the contact with the air had let the casing firm up and even the insides were more firm. I did notice the insides had also turned from brown to more of a gray color, but I wasn't worried about that. So, if you do find these a big too soft at first, try letting them sit out for 24 or so hours. In all, I'm on the fence about buying these again. Perhaps if I found them in sale.
