This product is BRILLIANT!
The media could not be loaded. Normcore is becoming my favorite and go-to brand. The two puck mesh screens I've bought are great. This thing is brilliant. Not only does it work well as a dosing cup/shaker, but the two halves also perform as portafilter dosing funnels, separately or together. The bottom half is neater when used this way (and it's taller), but if your WDT tool is short, the top half works in a pinch.NOTE: the bottom of the bell has a nipple and wavy pattern. Why? So that it can fit into the inside of the top while resting! Then you can put the two halves of the dosing cup/funnels on the top as well. Watch my video. Brilliant. If you're asking "why use this shaker AND a WDT," well, why NOT? The shaker will break up clumps and distribute the grounds at the bottom, and a WDT will also break up clumps, distribute the grounds in the portafilter basket more evenly, and potentially remove static cling.Cleans off very easily with a brush, stores easily, and is easy to use. Nothing I can find to dislike with this. Thank you for your ingenuity, Normcore! Consider me a willing tester for new products.

Ok but not
The four piece construction is clunky and the plug magnets are weak. I’ve had it come apart while shaking creating a mess. Of course it is slightly cheaper, but I’ll stick with my magic shaker.

Probably creates more problems than it solves
This blind shaker cleverly incorporates a dosing cup & dosing funnel into its repertoire of features.Unfortunately, the product is hard to grip securely, and the magnets used to keep these parts together are a little too weak for its intended purpose—SHAKING THIS CONTAINER LIKE CRAZY! It can easily lead to spilling coffee all over your counter and floor, if you're not EXTREMELY careful. You have to either have large hands, or develop an unnatural way to grip this shaker, in order to safely use this product like a maraca at a Charo concert. (Too old a reference for folks?). Otherwise, it will tend to come apart as you are vigorously agitating the coffee grounds.I can say, though, that as a simple DOSING FUNNEL it works fine.It works pretty well as a DOSING CUP, too; though it's not even close to being mechanically fail-safe. The interior PLUNGER/STOPPER that closes the bottom of the container can sometimes get loose unexpectedly (if the stopper is tapped, or pushed up accidentally by a wayward finger); with spillage resulting, as described above.Assembling everything together (and, also adding its separate & necessary cover!) creates an excessively complex BLIND SHAKER that is not really working for me.It seems easier (and, it can be cheaper) to buy each accessory separately—a dosing funnel, dosing cup, and a WDT tool—without bothering to create this Frankenstein-inspired multi-tool, just to make an espresso.

Good Quality Multi-Purpose Dosing Cup
If you're an avid home barista you know the every challenge of pulling the perfect shot! The newest trend is this type of dosing cups with built in declumping with a plumper channel. The workflow of this tool is great and especially with the built in magnetics on the high walled funnel and lid. The built quality and material you can feel are high quality compared to other cheaper options. The funnel itself fits on a 58mm portafilter and stays attached with magnets. To use you grind directly into the dosing cup with your desired weight for your shot, put the lid on and shake the grinds for a few seconds to remove any clumps. This can either be in a circular or one directional shake. Finally you attach the dosing cup to your portafilter and "ring" the plunger which literally knocks the grinds down. Yes you may have to sweep some of the grinds that have static clinged to the walls however. You finally got level the grid and tamp and off you go. Note you likely will still need to work to really even out the grinds either by tapping, some type of WDT tool, lever tool otherwise it always comes out uneven.Overall a great multi-purpose dosing cup. You can use the high walled dosing cup by itself if you want to grind directly into your portafilter and not use the plunger declumping.

Parts didn't fit, returned immediately.
Not much more to say... When I opened the box, first thing I did was to check how things fit together. The center post would not sit properly in the cup no matter how I rotated or wiggled it. I put the lid on and there was a visible gap, likely because the center post did not seat properly.I truly hope this was a simple manufacturing flaw and one-off mistake.Regardless, I certainly wasn't going to fill it with fine ground espresso and dust my workspace with everything that could fly out the gaps in my sample.

An excellent blind shaker with some quirks
While this was initially an frustrating blind shaker, I've grown to really like it with some minor adjustments to my workflow. It has the right shape with an inward slope. Not all blind shakers that don't cost $85 do. After grinding into the cup, I shake, really more a vigorous swirl, on the counter, since the cup tends to shed fines with vertical shaking. After dosing into a portafilter, I remove the top half and use it as a dosing ring and do some light WDT to level the grounds before tamping. It works great and has eliminated the need for a separate ring.Overall, it's a really smart product.

the finish started chipping very quickly
About a month of careful use, and the finish started chipping already. I generally like normcore products. Have purchased number of them, but this one is of questionable quality.

Great Product!
Beautiful workhorse! Hefty and worth its weight in what I paid for it!I accidentally bought this 58mm meaning to get the 54 mm. The 54mm fit my Bambino perfectly and was super easy to use.A little dusty from the fines, but cleans up easy!
