Bought this set as I hate traveling with long fishing poles.The telescoping pole set is just what I needed.They easily pack up and go. I have a sling bag with my fishing stuff and they pack up in there nicely.I have only taken them out a couple of times... butIt's been a great adventure with them.I had one snag on the rocks and I did not baby it trying to get it unstuck.I pulled and bent and whipped that pole in all kinds of directions trying to get the line unstock from the rocks.I thought for sure the pole would break.. IT DID NOT!!In the end I cut the line and oh boy what a line!! What is that?? 30lbs test?? O_oThe line... tough as it is, was not ideal for pan fishing so I unspooled it and respooled with 10lb braided and a 6lbs fluoro leader. No more tangles and was able to cast much further. I kept the old line just in case I decide to go after sturgeon 😁For the cost, I'm very happy with this set. I'll post more pictures as I use them more this summer.

Great starter kit.

Purchased two of these for my grandsons who love to fish. Both are 9 years old. This was perfect for them to learn to care for their own equipment and not rely on someone else to do it for them.

Although the price is affordable, the quality is a little bit worse, especially the fishing line

I bought this for a 9 year old boy who I had an opportunity to teach him, his father, and mother how to fish with Mr equipment. Now their son has his own and very excited to use them.

What you get is pretty much what you see. Two very basic collapsible poles with a good selection of gear for those unplanned fishing trips in fresh water. For me, it will be a mountain lake.The product description talks about salt water and the little instruction book, which is very poor English and will give you a headache, talks about "catching the ocean giant". These open face reels are light lines. Good for trout. Good for a normal sized bass. But don't think you will catch a 20-pound salmon and a true "ocean giant", like a Marlin, will jump out of the water and slap you for bringing this little rod and reel to the ocean. It is an insult to ocean.But for those spurs of the moment fishing trips in mountain lakes this is a great little kit for me. It is compact and self-contained. The poles are friction extended, meaning the base of each pole section is wider than the opening above it and cannot pull through. The open face reels have plenty of light line and the tackle box, which is simple cheap plastic, has enough to catch a fish or two.There is nothing special about this kit. It is very basic. The value is in it being compact, self-contained, convenient and a set of 2 so you can enjoy the day with a friend. I'm pretty happy with it for the gap it fills but don't kid yourself and think this is serious fishing gear. On a final note, I know they teach English in Chinese schools. I wish they would quit putting out these incredibly poor instructions. If this is an auto translation, return the software as it is really bad.
