Mack'sShooters Covert OpsTM Soft Foam Ear Plugs -7 Pairs

I really like these Mack earplugs. I am a New Yorker and take the subway every day and the amount of peripheral noise is amazing and increasingly annoying. While the Mack earplugs won't block out the noise (not what I was looking for) it very reasonably dampens a lot of the noise and makes it a lot easier to read/relax and not be distracted. the Mack plugs won't block out someone streaming music out loud (good grief!) right next to me, but if it's a few feet away at a moderate level the sound will either be muffled or I won't hear it. I was on the bus recently (yes, I take a city bus to a subway train and if I want to get home I have to do that twice a day :O( and there were some kids in the back playing around as kids will and should do and it really didn't hit me for a bit that they were pretty much screaming and the sound was muffled enough that while very noticeable it was quite as piercing as I've sometimes found it.Of course, you need to put the earplugs in properly for them to work and that takes an inconvenient minute or so, but the result is worth it and I'm planning on buying a second batch of earplugs.In sum, if you are looking for an earplug that will dampen at worst and block noises out at best these are worth a try. They are comfortable and fashionably dark which are two things I was looking for. I hope never to be on a NYCC subway and hear a gunshot, but for all the dumb things that people do with their smart phones this product works well and has my hearty recommendation.

Works great! Probably wouldn't recommend shooting anything more than a 9mm with just these, but I always wear in ear plugs and over ear when I'm at the range. Super comfortable and great noise reduction. You'll still hear most things but it will be greatly dampened. Plus it comes with a handy case I keep on my key ring.Also, for the person who reviewed these 1 star because they're "no better than the 99 cent ones" you get... These are 7 dollars for 7 pairs. Soooo..?

use it for snoring prevention as well as machine noise prevention

GREAT CUSTOMER SRVC!!!I had issues with the product but after speaking with the owner I had come to find that the problem was at my end, not theirs.The soft squeezy foam didn't seat well in my ears (because I didn't read the instructions). Noise cancellation was minimal (because I didn't read the instructions). READ THE INSTRUCTIONS !!!I've never been a big fan of foam type ear plugs. I prefer the plunger type if I go with any ear insertion. I most prefer 'can' type ear muffs. My Walkers (bought here on AMZN) noise cancelling headset is awesome.**NOTE: If you have a problem w/ ANY Mack product this store "WILL" go out of its way to make it right.

These work too well. I mean they do the job but wow how well they work Stand Alone and with a headset in addition your sure to be protected. These won’t let words hurt you not gunfire.
