JRD 41" Evaporative Swamp Cooler with 80° Oscillating

This thing won’t even cool the sleeper compartment of a serum truck,filled with cold water,ice packs and the curtain closed to shut off driver area and the temp has gone from 77 to 84 since I turned it on.Don’t waste your money

1 - the instructions didn't include how to route cord through round plate how to. Took a minute but easy enough to figure it out.2 - the little department on top of fan is too small to add included ice box containers that came with it. I can add a very small amount of ice but melts and drain too quickly. Needed a very small ice pack to go there. I will find something for there and hopefully it will work.3 - I smell burning, like hot wiring coming from bottom area where the water and ice area I'd stored. Maybe because it's new.4 - maybe because it's warm in my house it's not cooling as expected, but up close I do feel the air cool even without ice.5 - it was packed very well, and delivery came a day early, meaning fast.6 - cost could been less for the performance, other words it's an expensive fan with very little benefits of it's promise.7 - may come back here after a few weeks or months for updates.

Very quiet operation

From I purchased this item ,it has not worked.

I was very excited to try this but highly disappointed in its performance. After about 5 min of running I smelled a strong electric heat smell. I figured the smell would wear off after a few minutes but a day later, still there. Made my whole house smell like an electrical fire. Not only that but it froze up on me a few times and after freezing the capsules included, no colder air was produced. Don’t waste your money if you think this is going to aid in cooling a room.

Wanted to use this for my small room to cool it down, you can hear the water move, and it made my room smell funny.Stars are for size and breeze, it’s a big fan that pushes a lot of air which is nice.

Same as any other fan for twice the price. Pretty loud also.

Simple to setup and creates comfort in my upper half story.
