This helps my psoriasis
I have the worst stress induced scalp psoriasis and for years I used every gross scalp shampoo on the market to no avail. I've used the T-sal, T-gel, Jason's, Head and Shoulders, Neem oil shampoo, Tea Tree shampoo, you name it. Since dyeing my hair is obviously out of the question with such a sensitive scalp, I found myself embracing my grays out of necessity and letting my hair go natural. Of course, using all the dandruff shampoos had turned my hair into a ratty mess and there wasn't much I could do about it. I walked around looking like the Divinations teacher at Hogwarts and despaired that my hair would never look good again.I stumbled onto this product when I was looking into Henna body art. I got interested and decided to buy it on a whim. I had it for months and never used it because I never have 6 hours to just sit around with a towel on my head. I finally bit the bullet one day when the kids were back in school and I had some free time. I mixed it up as follows:I made black coffee, 4 cups, with 4 scoops of coffee to brewI emptied the packet into a glass bowl and added several Tbsp EV Coconut oil & Several Tbsp Apple Cider VinegarI then began adding the hot coffee to the mix and get it to a pudding like consistency using a wooden spoon.I covered this mixture to keep the heat in and let it soak for many hours.I applied it after wetting my hair and putting Petroleum jelly around all my parts I didn't want to get colored (ears, forehead), and mushed it into my scalp really well. I covered with a shower cap, then a towel on top of that, and puttered around the house for 6 hours.I rinsed out in the shower. It took a while...The first time I did it, I had a wedding coming up in a week so I was scared to death about how it would turn out. When I rinsed it out, it was a little bright, especially on my gray hair. My scalp was bright orange. Over the course of the next few days, the color toned down and it looked awesome! My scalp eventually returned to its usual pasty white. I have dark hair so it gave me such beautiful dark red highlights where my grays are and left my hair a shiny dark auburn elsewhere. My hair hasn't looked so good in years. The best outcome that I wasn't expecting is that my psoriasis went away for a good 3-4 weeks. No itching, scaling, nothing. It was like I didn't have psoriasis for that time at all. I am hooked for life on this stuff. Nothing I have used has helped with the pain and itchiness of my scalp like this has. I bought this mondo pack of henna here on amazon so I will not run out for a long time.I am on my second batch and will be using it again tonight. I hope using it again doesn't change the color too much (my hair is still dyed from last time but unfortunately my psoriasis has come raging back and I need relief). I don't really mind if the color darkens. If anything crazy happens, I will update my post. If not, know that if you have dark hair and psoriasis, this stuff is a godsend and totally worth the time sitting around with the heavy, kinda stinky mass sitting on your head for 6 hours.

My experience on this herbs blend.
I bought it because of the nature organic. I believe it is more healthier but it takes really a long time to wait on my hair. They said it needs to cover and stay for at least 3 hours before wash......I don't know I could keep use it for how long.

Great product! Nice color, easy to apply and rinse
I have been using henna to color my hair for a LONG time. I have used many brands but I think I've finally found a brand that I will stick with permanently. Dye release happens quickly, ive never not had it happen within the 2-3 hour window that the package suggests you allow it to sit in the bowl before applying. The powder is very finely ground and is easy to mix into a nice paste to apply to your hair. I keep my hair covered after I apply the henna with some plastic wrap and either a towel or shower cap and this seems to work well. I've left it on as long as over night and as short as 3-4 hours. I'd rather leave it over night because I feel like the color stays bright longer but 3-4 hours still got nice color. It does rinse off nicely, I have had other Henna powders that I literally had to dump conditioner on my head to get it to all come out and even then days later I'd still be finding twigs in my hair, this never happens with this brand. It rinses out cleanly and easily as long as you don't let it dry at all on your head. This is a great product and I will continue to use it as long as it's available.

hair breakage
I used the product twice, the color is ok, not salon color, it's a bit reddish on my dark brown hair, orange on my grey hair. The first time, after washing the paste off of my hair, my hair feels sticky and coarse, I then used a good amount of hair conditioner, after my hair dries it feels very smooth and soft. I don't know the smoothness is from the powder or the conditioner. After I used a second pack, my hair starts to break. Whenever I comb it, there is a bit amount of hair breaking. I am terrified. In the end, I cut my hair short, spent $65 for a very good hair treatment at my stylist's place. So I don't know if I am going to continue using the product. The color does last long enough. After a month of usage, the reddish/orange color is still there, I do see grey hair showing but they are the newly grown one. So no complain about that.

Glad I finally tried it!
I bought this to mix with some indigo for a darker auburn color (60% henna : 40% indigo). I really liked the results. The product covered my grays completely and doesn't fade for about 2 months. I found that my gray hairs fade a lot faster than my colored hair (medium brown), although I've never had this completely fade out of my hair. Don't use this if you only want a temporary color for a month or two. I did not find this product to be damaging, in fact, it always makes my hair super soft and very shiny.Henna is made from a plant, so when you open the package, there is a strong smell...like a mowed hayfield or something. It's not a pleasant smell, but doesn't prevent me from using the product either. You do want to mix this several hours before using to allow for maximum color. Protect your skin before applying to hair to prevent staining. DO NOT get this on your clothes unless you want them permanently colored with splatters of henna. If you're on the fence about trying henna, go for it. No fears about this product...it works well and performs as it should.
