This is a very good light. Nice and portable. Shot a video at night and this was very bright and the video quality was perfect. Doesn’t heat up. Love how light it was. Perfect for low light shoots. Functions perfect. Great price for what you get.

I’m a lighting newbie and using this to illuminate video calls and the occasional vlog entry from a smartphone. My biggest gripe is that I have to buy a separate a/c adapter to use this without worrying about battery life. Battery and plug-in charger for the battery itself are included, but the whole idea of using and charging at the same time is only possible with the separate a/c adapter. I’ve never seen electronics packaged WITH a battery and separate charger, but WITHOUT an a/c adapter for the device. I guess the listing mentions the adapter is separate, but it’s an aggravating decision by the manufacturer. Everybody expecting to just plug in and use should order the adapter at the same time. Unless you have a hot shoe device, of course. I’m not sure how well this would do at long distances for a pro photographer in the field, but for vlog, self video and studio fill lighting it’s great and provides plenty of light. I have this light mounted to a cold shoe on top of a smartphone mount on a tripod. I’ve also mounted it directly to a tripod. It’s more than bright enough for what I need. I keep it at about 30% and lowest kelvin temp and tilt it slightly upward for more of an ambient effect. The blue and green gels are helpful for adding more of a daylight tint without having to tweak the dial. The white gel doesn’t do much other than cut a bit of harshness. The red is useless for my purposes. The light and accessories were nicely packaged and individually wrapped, so no damage during shipping. Fit, finish and materials were surprisingly good. No play in the dials and switches, no flashing on the plastic, which was just thick enough. The back panel LED is bright and legible. The light feels solid but not heavy. Some have complained of a flimsy hot shoe adapter, which I can see what they’re talking about but has not been troublesome for me. Just have to treat it gently and fully disconnect from light and shoe mount every time. The gels line up with the magnets on the light and hold well. Gels are not super thick and should be protected in a box or soft case of some sort. I don’t have a hot shoe device, so can’t comment on how it works when energized in that fashion. I also can’t comment yet on long term quality or longevity. Hopefully it lasts. Assuming it keeps working well, it was a good investment.

Its perfect for makeupartist for the clients pictures and videos, and to have a porta le option when i travel to peoples houses to do their makeup, and not having to carry my other bigger led lights. The filters work with magnets and the battery life seems ok. Havent used it for that long

This was absolute perfect light, I have used it countless times. I love the digital settings that are on the light. The light is very very bright but you can lower the the brightness and you can even change it from cool white to warm white . It connects very easy to a hot shoe or cold shoe basically, and also you can attach all the lights to it on the sides even the top if you like. And the filters are absolutely amazing. If you photographer or if you just want to get some great shots with your phone or say your blogger or something and you do live blogs or whatever this is a great light to utilize I highly recommend it

Really bright light and great for taking makeup videos but the battery just does not last. I thought it would be good for makeup house calls so I don’t have to pack my big lights but it died while I was doing a client 😭 would get the adapter for future.
