I have Canon IS binoculars from 20 years ago which have served me very well. But I wanted something more robust and modern and these certainly fit the bill. The regular stabilization mode is equivalent to the Canon and the ultra stable mode is like being tripod-mounted. It is that good. The glass is very good, if not Swaro-grade, and did fine looking into bright light. I love the compact form factor and easy handling. This is a great choice for a stabilized binocular.

If you, like me, suffer from motion sickness and are tired of seeing blurry images of cool objects/animals; buy these. I used these on my recent trip to Alaska, and was able to spot wildlife from moving vehicles and boats. Image is very crisp and the 2 stabilizer modes are very very very very helpful. The binos are small in size, fit in one hand easily, super lightweight and easy to carry on a hike. Other binos in this price range perform better when it comes to stargazing (i.e. this model is pricier than it's counterparts in the same spec range). For a similar price point, you could get higher mag and aperture which would be better for stargazing. But at that point, you're better off buying a starter telescope. My advice - go for these for hiking, beginner-intermediate level birdwatching, wildlife spotting, etc. I personally don't like the company that manufactures these, and the primary purpose for which these are made. All that does not take away from the fact that it is a great product.

Well after all the suggestion and testing I settled for the Sig Zulu6 HDX 10x30 I've had other bino's with IS but this Sig's IS is in a class by itself in it's ability to stabilized the 10x image, with 2 settings of IS. Great size for what it dose and only 19 oz, with the IS it gives me the ability to set the focus more precisely I'm only nit-picking but it should come with front caps and the rears should have been a single piece but the size, weight, image quality makes up for it. Was $400 more then I wanted to spend and the size and weight are fine and well worth the extra cash The second setting of Image stabilization is amazing stable and very enjoyable to experience, not to knock the first setting but this is a keeper of a pair of binoculars !

As I’ve aged, I’ve developed just enough tremor that using binoculars was pointless. Then a friend showed me these- the clarity of view is absolutely unbelievable. You will not need as high a magnification because the view is crystal clear. Worth every penny!

lightweight in hand and with image stabilization, this has been a game changer. I mostly use these on a boat for scanning for schools of fish/birds but excellent for viewing wildlife, etc. The image stabilization is great - highly recommended
