These mouth tapes are very difficult to remove from the backing strip in the light, a task that would be impossible in the middle of the night.I also found that these “x” shaped strips are not enough to stop me from breathing through my mouth and I ended up removing it and replacing with a full mouth tape.

I've recently started using mouth tapes, and with the ones I normally use leaving black residues, I was interested to try these as an alternative. They come on thin sheets that they are stuck well to. They don't willingly release simply by bending the backing sheet, but with a fingernail it's not difficult to lift a corner and peel one off. On the product they show placing the tape vertically, however I placed it sideways and found this works much better because more of the lips are covered. After using it overnight my mouth wasn't dry in the morning, a sign that it's been effective. They are easy to remove and there's minimal to no sticky residue after. There is a minor odour from the adhesive.My only concern is that coming from China and not being a known brand, the safety of the adhesive is unknown and there is no verifiable safety data provided to show that these meet regulatory standards.
