After reading reviews that were slightly negative, I did not have high hopes for this cabinet. After all, what do you expect for $99? I’ve recently paid more for a popular plastic cabinet (from a certain social media platform) that I returned because that product looked too cheap. So after ordering this, less expensive option, I thought I would likely be disappointed again. How wrong I was. The cabinet arrived in a very heavy box. While this is daunting to move around, it speaks of quality materials. This cabinet is 100% steel and of a sufficient thickness so as not to be flimsy or make sounds “flexing”. The only part that isn’t steel are the thick, fluted glass doors that were well protected in the middle of the box. In fact, every piece was very well covered with either thin foam “fabric” or styrofoam. The ends of the cabinet were protected by a substantial metal “cap” which was a well thought out and not inexpensive measure taken by the manufacturer to further protect this cabinet on its journey from China to The US. The cabinet is an engineering marvel. The fact that it is packed in a relatively small box yet becomes a fairly large cabinet takes a lot of careful planning. That it’s done in a way that is fairly easy to assemble and completely protects the contents sets this piece apart. That it’s also a very handsome piece of furniture is what really makes this piece stellar. The price is the chef’s kiss. Those who complained this was difficult to put together must have either never assembled an ikea cabinet or received a different version. The instructions were clear but, more importantly, the steps were fairly intuitive. While it claims a 15 minute assembly time, count on more like 1/2 hour if you are being careful. I used an Amazon electric screwdriver the complete the task and it was the perfect tool for the job. Very satisfied.

Took a chance on this completely disregarding all of the negative reviews because I couldn’t find the same variation anywhere else. Wish I just hadn’t bought it. I don’t find building furniture difficult. But this just has terrible design/instructions. Had to stop building it because the screw hole wasn’t pre screwed, and it’s metal, as well as hard to reach. Stripped all of the screws in the process, and none of them fit flush. I had someone holding it in place for me, so I literally just had to drill them in and it took me way too long. Finally gave up and figured it was good enough so I moved onto the next step. Nope, had to stop. Instructions are not clear at all. Ended up frustrated with two walls on the base. Gonna try to hammer in the first initial screws so they can be flush against the wall. Besides the bad design, I appreciate that they packaged it fairly well. No broken glass, one weird puncture but that was probably from shipping around. Understandable as this thing is HEAVY. Unless you really really want this look..take a chance. (I know I do, I’m gonna try to make it work tomorrow)…hopefully you have more luck than I do. EDIT: Changed 2 stars to 4. It’s now the next day and I managed to get the screws out and just used the small black screws. Worked out well! After removing the screws I had opted for no screws at the bottom but it made the structure wobbly and it’s possible that the doors could pop out of the socket if not secured enough. Getting the doors even is finicky as you have to adjust the height so that the weight is evenly distributed. I’d recommend this overall, besides the initial frustration, it was simple and using the small black screws for everything worked for me! Don't even bother with the med grey ones, terrible design. I love the way it looks! Should last a while with care.

I needed a storage solution for my small salon studio and this cabinet did not disappoint. The instructions suggest having 2 people to assemble the cabinet, however I found it relatively easy to do it myself. I will say the item is very heavy and large, so I had to use a hand truck to move it from my pick up truck to the studio. I opened the box upright and just pulled out the numbered pieces as needed to assemble according to the instructions. The 2 magnetic lights that come with the cabinet aren't worth a darn. They have to be removed from the unit and charged often and they kept falling down so I just took them out. I didn't buy the cabinet for the lights, but it would've been nice if they worked and came with a wall plug with an on/off switch. The cabinet shelves are easy to adjust to whatever heights you need and they each hold a lot of stuff and are very sturdy which is exactly what I needed as I have lots of hair products and tools. The cabinet looks expensive with the fluted semi transparent doors. All in all I would definitely purchase this item again.

Loved both installation video & detailed hard copy written instructions. Made it painless! Purchased 2 and after assembling first cabinet - second cabinet was a breeze. I was surprised it really needed 2 persons to move just one such extremely heavy box around after delivery - unless you are a very strong person. I’m 72 female, and no amount of leverage by myself alone could I pick up the box. Also, the hardest part of assemble was aligning the legs properly. Once in place after some minor adjustments with rubber mallet and pliers, rest is easy (Both cabinets needed minor fix). Also, a power screw driver is a must, unless you enjoy screwing in a lot of screws. I’m using both cabinets in my family room to store hobby equipment etc. The manufacturing (all holes lined up), ease of installation & overall quality of product was a very pleasant surprise to me. Also I was very impressed with the thoughtful sturdy shipping carton. Although packaging was heavy - it was necessary to survive shipping in perfect condition. I’m very happy with cabinets & I’m very picky!

This is a nice piece. I was worried about a metal piece of “furniture “ but the matte finish makes it look nice. I ordered a window film to help hide the contents since this is right off the kitchen area and very visible. I was able to adjust the shelves to accommodate certain items, like my cake plate with dome. You will need two people to help assemble, but easy. I took the glass out to add film. You can remove the plastic stays and then snap back in.

Every single of of the holes was tapped too small and the screws went in crooked. I also was unable to attach the top piece because the one part of the back came completely bent upwards. I’m only giving 1 star because it came how it was supposed to look (aka the doors) but there is no way I’m getting this together. The screws start to go in but as in the picture that’s all she wrote. Even a drill couldn’t get these in. Very displeased. UPDATE: I’m trying to return the item. I spent $80 on shipping for a $160 item to which I will NOT be receiving that back. And now Amazon is trying to tell me I have to spend ANOTHER $80 to return it. So at the end of the day I’d be out $160 regardless. This is absolutely ridiculous considering I’m a prime member.

I purchased this and it was extremely flimsy in its material and design. Also, the screws for assembly are so short that it takes quite a bit of finesse to screw them in. It is easier with a power drill because it holds the screw in place in and drills in quickly. The glass doors are attractive and go on easily. There is also a light. I was missing one of the lights. But, the lights are so cheap and flimsy that I don't think I would even use them. I am very disappointed in this purchase. I purchased it at full price and now it has been reduced $20. But, even at a reduced price, I would not recommend it because it is so poorly made.

I really wanted this to be amazing! It looks so good in the photos and the style is beautiful. Not too hard to put together but the black coating can easily scratch off. Some pieces were bent or dinged when I opened the box. Half of the plastic pieces holding the glass on the left door were broken so the glass won't stay in place. When the doors are closed there's an awkward gap. The door (or maybe frame) is bent so there's a gap on the left door and it won't completely close. The gold pulls are very yellowy. It had so much potential. I would not recommend or buy this product again. And shipping cost half the cost of the cabinet!!!
