What varietal is this grape?

The varietal name is Muench. It is a hybrid between the Neosho Grape (1855) and Herbemont (a “A” Type Lenoir also called the Brown French). A fascinating variety, that as best we can tell, after 10 years of field trials, is truly bulletproof. Like many of the post civil war varieties it’s best produced as free run juice source (ie no skin contact). It is perhaps the single best target we’ve come across for organic production.
