I use the batteries to power my edger/trimmer, and I can usually get 45 minutes - 1 hour of constant use after a full charge. No issues after 2 months of use.

Great package deal! The batteries don't last as long as the Dewalt batteries but still do a good job for the money!!

I had high hopes that this would work for my ailing Dewalt batteries since you can no longer find the lithium ones ,so I unboxed them and right away I noticed they were pretty small compared to my other 5 ah batteries and when I checked to see how much charge there was it had 2 lights of 3,so I got the charger out ,plugged it in ,browsed thru the directions and slid the battery into the cradle, and it said green lite, then right away it said red? Tried it several times no luck would not charge, tried the other battery and the same thing ,says red and both batteries say 2 of 3 lights, strange. So I called customer support, and we talked and they will be sending a replacement to me in the next 2 weeks, and I'm to hang on to this one until the other one arrives,In the meantime I have tried to use the one battery to lower the percentage of juice in the battery to see if it will charge up to 3 lights of 3,we will see, maybe it's something they did when they were making it at the factory and it only has 2 lights ,I don't know , something else I really din't like is the batteries don't lock in to the charge like all other chargers do ,that was a little disconcerting, we will see how it is over time ,but several times now I have plugged the battery into the charger and had it not charge and have to reinsert with a little more force and I'm not one to force something causes thing don't last as long when you have to do that all the time. Update : Monday 12-16-2004 Its been 2 week's since I received this set and i can tell you I'm not impressed ,with that said I ordered a new set that has not arrived yet. So I've been seeing if the battery that wasn't defecting was as good as the reviews say it is ,because i tried the defective battery that won't charge and I left it in the garage for a week 20 degrees +- and it said 2 bars ,used it to drive a couple of torx screws, and it said dead,so I brought it into the house and it said 2 bars??? I put it on the charger ,nope not going to charge ,so hopefully when the second charger and batteries get here I can test them and hopefully they will prove better or I'll be sending them back to and I'll look at a more expensive 20 volt battery,I hoping they turn out ok .,Another update to follow.December 18,2004 I ran the battery so it would be at 1 light and put it on the charger and it still would not charge so I boxed it up and canceled `the order to replace and sent it back and if this review posts I'll be surprised ,I have submited 3 times now and they ? won't post my review,Probably because its not what they want to hear,I wouldn't waste money on it,I'll try a different route

Looks good. Works well. I absolutely do not believe they are 8 amp hour batteries though... 5 or 6.. maybe. No way 8. Fit tightly as oem. Function perfectly. Charger works well with them. Haven't tried using an oem battery with the dual charger yet but I'm sure it will be fine. Great price!!! I'll be buying more soon.
