Blackwood is such a good food, made pretty close to us in small batches. I once had an opportunity to speak with one of their sales reps and got the skinny on how they make and source their foods and the quality of how they make it as well as the ingredients is top notch. When two of our dogs started having some digestive problems I decided right away to see if Blackwood had a sensitive stomach line, and was happy to find they do. We have been getting this food for them for about 6 months now and it has been a tremendous help. The diarrhea went away pretty quick and the tummy troubles are much less frequent. We now have this on repeat delivery because the price is so much better than anywhere else I have found. It is always very fresh and well out from the expiration date. I want to mention too that the size of the kibble is such that it is easy for small dogs as well as large to eat. The two that we are feeding this are both under 10 pounds and one is older with a few missing teeth. She has had no problems eating it at all. I absolutely have found it to be of help to my two, and recommend it if you have dogs with similar issues.

Blackwood Sensitive Skin & Stomach Lamb Meal and Brown Rice - We’ve been feeding our dogs this kibble exclusively for several months now. We transitioned slowly from their previous food. First and foremost, they devour this kibble and lick their bowls clean. The kibble size is small, and at first I was concerned about our dogs, 50+ pounds, gulping down the kibble and swallowing it whole. That hasn’t happened. Instead they’re actually chewing more than they did with larger kibble. The smaller kibble size along with the formula seems to be contributing to very healthy digestion. Our dogs never have upset stomachs, gas, diarrhea. We’ve noticed it doesn’t take much of this formula to keep muscular weight on the dogs. Be very careful not to over feed this formula. On the other hand, if you’re looking to add muscular weight on your dogs this could do the trick. Poops are firm and well formed, averaging once or twice a day, making cleanup easy. Their skin and coats are healthy and shiny. Scratching and licking themselves is almost nonexistent. So far, we’ve never had a bag arrive torn open, or with holes in it. We’ve never received a bag that was compromised by moisture getting inside. Blackwood bags seem to be very sturdy compared to other manufacturers. Our experience has been there is very little to none in the way of kibble dust, crumbs, or crushed kibble in the bag. We’ve NEVER opened a bag where the kibble looked or smelled bad. We’ve NEVER experienced a bag containing any insects or contamination of any kind. All in all, this is a good quality kibble that is very well packaged.

I tried this cat food hoping that it would help my Himalayan with his skin allergies and I could not be happier! He's been eating it for quite a while and his coat is absolutely beautiful - shiny, sleek, and no more scratching and matting his hair. This changed his life so much! It has probiotics for digestion, too. It's expensive but it's absolutely worth it. I also love that it's a family-owned business. I highly recommend.

Item is good quality but dog is picky eater, didn't like it.

I have a Boston Terrier with a VERY sensitive stomach. This is the ONLY food he can or will eat & we've tried at least 8 others. We subscribe to a regular delivery. The zipper on the bag is super useful too!

my Poodle/husky mix loves this flavor. i was feeding her science diet otc food and it was a struggle to get her to eat. she cleans her bowl everytime now.
