Searched high and low on Amazon to find the right amount of fire glass for under my indoor gas fireplace. 5lbs is the perfect amount as most others were selling either 1lb or 10lbs. I'd strongly suggest you use a quick and easy online calculator to discover the amount you need. The quality of the product is solid and it looks beautiful every time I look at the fireplace. We replaced some old lava rock that is just the worst - breaks apart, dusty, fell out, etc.. If you are in the same boat this is a very low cost home upgrade that looks great

These blue glass pieces look so beautiful in the fire pit. Just be careful- they are real glass pieces!

We love the subtle color this glass brings to our fire table. Just wear some heavy duty rubber gloves and wash them up outside. They are dusty and have a lot of fine dust. I just threw away the gloves and a disposable turkey pan I poked some holes in to drain after washing. It was worth the slight hassle to get such a pretty effect

The media could not be loaded. I got the cobalt blue 1/2 inch pieces for some art work and they work nicely for my purposes. You will need to wash the dust off the pieces. The shards are also of different sizes. I would prefer the mirror side to be a little more shiny / reflective. Good value overall.
