Bit Costly but probably worth it
This model is a solid one, the glass panel on this one is the thickest that i have seen on any Induction, including the other models from Philips itself. Now, the model design is bit old(since this is almost a decade old model), so the interface looks dated, particularly the bit where instead of displaying the temperature on the LCD, it's indicated by individual LEDs..But, the body itself, finish and finesse is superb, Philips probably decided to keep their model intact since it was a successful one. Now, coming back to the function, I particularly like its temperature control algorithm, even in manual mode, it doesn't let the vessel go above the corresponding temperature that's aligned with that wattage, for example, at 800 watt, the correponding temperature is 140C, and when I use a stainless steel thick base vessel, that was infamous for getting too heated on every other Induction model I used it on, this Philips handle it so nicely, it continuously keeps turning on and off even at 800 watt(which is supposed to be a continuous heating mode normally), just to keep the temperature in check...to make sure, it was not some sort of malfunctioning, I increased the wattage to 100watt, which is supposed to cap the temperature at 160C and immediately the induction adjusted accordingly, the frequency of turning on and off reduced...I never saw this function on any other induction before..all other induction cooker just turns the whole thing off when temperature goes above a certain limit...so kudos to Philips for getting it right. The cooking gets so much easier, now there is really no worry of burning your food...or worse damaging your induction. Also, the pause function is a nice feature, it's really useful when you are switching your vessel between cooking, without having to turn off the induction or letting it beep without a vessel..but the most useful feature for me is the direct electricity consumption view option...yeah, it can measure the total unit consumed during a session(as long as the main switch is on)...which is really useful for me, because I do like to measure consumption of all my appliances every single day.

High quality induction cooktop with seamless glass top and touch interface
Another addition to the kitchen with induction cooktop from this brand, and coming from HD4928, this is definitely an upgrade with touch buttons, elegant design, and full glass top. All my HD4928's malfunctioned due to water seepage inside from the joint between glass and control panel. This particular model, HD2938 with full glass top addresses the issue to some extent.•••••••••••••••••••🎁 INSIDE BOX•••••••••••••••••••→ Induction cooktop→ Safety leaflet→ User ManualCord length: 1.5 m approxMax power: 2100 wattsWarranty: 1 Year••••••••••••➕ PROS••••••••••••1. Stylish & durable cooktop for the kitchen with full glass top2. Works great with lots of preset options for cooking3. Works with a good range of iron/magnetic base cookware, bottom diameter 12-20cm4. Touch buttons are easy to operate and red led above each button indicates the option selected5. Manual mode in any induction is kind of a blessing to have full control over the cooking process. This ones the most used mode in my kitchen6. Many preset modes can also be adjusted as per the required temperature and cooking time.7. +/- can be used to adjust both temperature and timer8. Childlock feature, which can be used to prevent accidental presses. This thing is a blessing for lets say milk boiling, to prevent spillage due to accidental press and high power leading to sudden rise of milk levels9. Theres direct shortcut to sim/boil/reheat milk or water••••••••••••➖ CONS••••••••••••1. This model slips a lot on the platform as there are no rubber shoes on the 4 legs. I don't understand the reason behind omission of such an important thing. Brands PMs really need to think through.2. Didnt like the red LEDs above all buttons, it could have been made more aesthetic for such a premium device. Theres a big tranparent zone for every LED on the glass top and you can actually see those 10mm Red LEDs, which actually looks ugly. In this era of SMDs, they are still using 10mm ones.3. Price is on the higher side for not much of feature upgrade from HD4928. Could have been better designed. For these cons deducting one star. So a 4-star ★★★★ device.•••••••••••••••USAGE TIPS•••••••••••••••→ Use utensils with induction base only. Normal steel utensils also work but are very less efficient. Aluminium ones won't work here.→ The glass plate gets hot during usage. Handle it with caution. The residual heat indicator remains on to show the status of heat.→ Use child lock to prevent accidental touches, which may lead to improper cooking or even a disaster. These touches are not just limited to children.→ Keep vents clean and have sufficient space around induction, for it to have proper forced air circulation. It's an important process to keep the internals cool as its all electronics inside.•••••••••••••••••••••IMPORTANT ADVICE•••••••••••••••••••••→ Never ever let liquid spill on the induction. It's the major cause of failures in the cooktops. Even though they have addressed that issue in this model, by having full glass top, but still theres a small overlap of 5-7m on both ends of glass, which may lead to water or liquid seepage and damage the electronic circuit there.••••••••••••••••🏆 VERDICT••••••••••••••••This goes by the name and will not disappoint wrt quality and performance of the product. Its one of the best inductions in the market, both looks and functionality wise.

Better than HD4928/01.
So i bought the philips induction HD4928/01 last year.It was quite good and my sister also liked it.But one drawback i faced was when i boiled water and hot water spill over it kind of went inside the little crack between the induction plate and the button and some of the buttons stopped working.Of course i dried it under the sun for a while and it worked again. So i bought this version for my sister and this is working pretty well for now.And also the plate seems a little bigger than HD4928/01 .both are top notch Haven't used any other induction before but have used both phillips induction. If you don't mind spending a little extra go for this version.

Defective product
Customer service is pathetic. Nobody cares once the product is sold. After using it the product had an error E9 the customer service mentioned the engineer will “contact “ in 24hrs. And they only call once if you call them back the call doesn’t connect. Which means we have to leave everything and be on the phone for 24hrs so that we dont miss the call. Because after a product is sold the customer is treated in a pathetic manner. Conclusion- no engineer contacted or tried to fix my issue. The induction is still not working.Moral- If i speak the truth my review won’t be posted.
