Dove Body Cream Serum Niacinamide + Even Tone for Dark Spots and Uneven Tone with Vitamin C, Pro-Retinol and Shea Butter Lotion, 8 oz

So full disclosure, I have a kind of OCD where I pick at my skin incessantly since early childhood. Of course this means I've been covered in all kinds of scars my entire life. Believe you me when I say I've tried nearly everything in my 37 years on earth to make them fade. I've found niacinamide to be helpful, probably the most helpful of anything I've ever tried, so I've just been buying The Ordinary's 10% Niacinamide Serum and spot applying it to my dark scars. Well, recently I ran out of both my regular body lotion and Niacinimide so I decided to give this stuff a shot because it had vitamin C and pro-retinal too and it was so affordable. Plus I prefer the feel of serums over thick lotions and butters so this seemed to check all the boxes for me. I've been hesitant to try these lotions because I figured they aren't going to be concentrated enough to help, but worst case scenario is that it doesn't work, and I at least get a nice serum moisturizer for a few weeks that didn't break the bank. Fast forward a week and I sincerely regret not taking a before and after picture because this has to be seen to be believed. I genuinely did not expect it to be as effective as it is. I applied liberally twice daily and my scars have to be at least 50% lighter in literally one week. Mind blown 🤯. Just my skin in general is brighter. It's more moisturized and even. The scent is very light and fresh and I find it to be very pleasant and not overwhelming at all. You do feel it on your skin but you don't feel like a grease ball which is something I really enjoy. It's not shiny at all and doesn't make your hair greasy even if you have long hair that is in constant contact with your shoulders/back. You really cannot beat the quality for this price. Honestly I haven't been able to beat this quality at any price. I bought another similar product for $30 at 2oz and this is significantly better. I found my new staple moisturizer!

The dove body cream is light and has a pleasant smell. I've been using this body cream for a few months, and I have noticed some overall improvement in the appearance of my skin. It feels smoother, and my skin tone does seem a bit more even overall. However, I originally brought it for the dark spots on my legs from shaving, and unfortunately, I haven't seen any real improvement in that area. While it works well for general skin texture and tone, it didn't do much for the targeted dark spots i was hoping to address. If you're looking for a product to improve overall skin appearance this is a great product, but not a miracle worker for stubborn dark spots.

Smells good! Big size so you get a lot of use. I’m just not seeing results yet when it comes to brightening skin tone, but definitely feels good on skin. Not sticky

Excellent product! I really love this product. It has been a great help for my skin. I bought it because I was dealing with uneven skin tone and dark spots, and I’ve noticed a visible improvement since I started using it. The cream is very moisturizing, absorbs well, and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

Light texture, moisturizes well for a serum moisturizer. I usually have to go in with a heavier butter on top, but this provides decent moisture all day or night. I still do a vit c body oil on top because I like using a body oil, and I like that when used with this body cream serum it doesn't feel like I am wearing thick layers on my skin. Barely scented so that's good.

So far it's a nice texture but I have seen no significant brightening to my skin and arms. The latter being the most sunburned on my body. Nice for after showering if you do not want the feel too lotioned and sticky as it absorbs well. It is not heavily fragranced and give light hydration. All in all a nice change to traditional lotion texture.
