The Mercedes AMG of laptops.
An excellent laptop. Remarkably well built, very solid construction. The raised keyboard does not flex with normal use. The track pad is large, very smooth and built in numeric pad. The screen is beautiful too look at, vivid and extremely responsive. The i9 and 4080 handle everything you can throw at it. If you prefer gaming compatibility install the Nvidia standard driver as it installs the Studio version by default. It could do with more SSD capacity as standard. 1TB is below par in today's world, especially considering what this laptop is likely to be used for, and the missing option to upgrade the 32GB is a shame. However, squeezing this much power in to a small frame is tough and 32GB is enough for now. Besides, the trade off response time for hardwired RAM is excellent at over 7000mhz. Camera quality is good, and it has a built in infra red and fingerprint scanner. Plenty of connectivity ports, and the included touch pen works well. The only thing I would advise is consider a laptop cooler tray and ensure good ventilation from below. When this device is pushed to is limits it gets very hot and can be uncomfortable on your lap. Minor issues frankly considering what you're getting in a well presented package. For an extra Β£100 from Asus you can protect it from any faults, including battery and accidental damage for 3 years. Overall an excellent modern, high performance laptop that will easily last for several years. I'm glad I bought it.

Fantastic Laptop
It's fast, it's fully featured, and very good, solid build quality. Been using it for 2 Months now, and had no problems. It does not run hot, and is not noisy with the fans. Screen is gorgeous, and feels big for such a small and light laptop. Did I mention that it was fast! So many cores! 1TB SSD means you're unlikely to run out of space.Slightly expensive, but I feel it's worth it. Little touches like the numerical pad that you can switch on/off on the drag pad are awesome.I was a bit concerned about the power button being on the top right of the keyboard, but I've not had any accidental switch off events so far.

The best configuration at this price
It's been just one day since it was delivered. First impressions:1- The screen is beautiful. I can't think of any other screen technology better than OLED.2- It's fast but not as snappy as a Macbook.2- Even if it has an i9 processor, I can't tell the difference with i7, even my wife's Zenbook i5. Probably, it's overkill for my needs.3- It's silent most of the time, but it becomes noisy when you install a program or play a game (and gets extremely hot)4- The battery can last more than 5 hours, but I don't think it can last 10 hours. It's not a big deal since I mainly use it at home.5- Harman Kardon speakers are pretty good. Maybe not better than Macbook speakers.6- The keyboard is fine. It's not as good as Lenovo or Macbook keyboards, but it's OK.7- The touchpad is large, and embedding the number pad functionality into the touchpad is very clever. But I wish to see Apple's magic touchpad technology on Windows laptops. As a long-time Mac user, I have compared the specs and prices. This laptop is cheap, considering the specs, and I can't find any other laptop with the same specs at that price. If you are not a gamer (I'm not), then this laptop does the job pretty well.Update 2 weeks after the purchase:I've had issues with the Edge browser, especially with YouTube and Amazon websites. They were not responding quickly, and I almost considered returning the laptop. But then I noticed that the problem could be graphics drivers. When I turned off hardware acceleration in Edge settings, it slightly improved. Then, I updated Intel and Nvidia drivers through manufacturer websites, enabled hardware acceleration again, and all problems were solved. Now, both YouTube and Amazon are working quite fast.

Great specs and build but beware screen has no anti-reflective coating - Extremely reflective
(64GB 2TB SSD RTX4070 ver)Three stars because of the spec, build quality but returned after 10 days for the following reasons:1 - Either froze, BOD (twice) nearly every time I used it - all of which needed a power off if the m/c hadn't already initiated a restart. All restart problems were when I used GPU intensive Adobe, DXO apps or inking with the pen - I'm inclined to believe that I was unlucky and had a m/c with faulty GPU.2 - I did contact Asus support about the screen - (It's like a mirror) - to see if it was faulty but then it started freezing/ BODs so didn't pursue support with them as would have been "check all updates/BIOS firmware up to date" - which they were.3 - Many users on Reddit reported constant problems with this laptop and with Asus in general but some individuals reported complete reliability.4 - I did consider getting a replacement but for a 2.5k plus laptop the screen is far too reflective for me and at 500 nits isn't enough to work outside. I purchased to replace an ageing mbp 16in but incredibly the screen on the Apple m/c is better than that on the Proart 7606WI. While windows 11 is a decent Os, windows updates are still fragile and you tend to have separate OEM updates and Windows updates.Positives - great build quality, keyboard, quiet, some useful ASUS software for creatives, though tbh Adobe firefly is far better at image generation than whatever gen Ai `MuseTree uses. Trackpads or touchpads as they're know on Windows never seem to work as well as Apple trackpads. It's clear why Apple feel they can demand their inflated prices - while in some ways Windows 11 is a better and far more customisable/ feature rich Os, MacOS is more robust and reliable and basically just works. As soon as you turn on a new Mac and post setup gives you the option to learn all about your new device. With the ASUS there was no hand-holding. You have to dig around the m/c to get to know all the OEM features - far more time consuming.I've used Macs for over 10 years so my experience had to be pretty much seamless to switch and I would have probably kept the ASUS if it was fault free but on reflection I think I would have regretted that decision due to the mirror-like screen.Note, this is my experience with the Proart 7606WI and as I said previously, there are many users on Reddit that are really happy with this laptop!
