Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X116 Pro DX II Digital Zoom Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras Black

I have been using this lens for the past 5 months and i must say its really really good lens.If you really miss the wide angle and love to do landscapes astro and timelapses photography then this is the lens .Pros.1. Constant wide aperture of 2.8 ranging from 11-16mm focal.2. Best budget lens to capture landscape as well as astrophotography.3. Build quality is good with proper markings for focus distance.4. The lens I received has slight back focus but only if I focus onto something very close. Doesn't matter as the DOF is huge for a lens of such low focal length. Otherwise, it's super sharp corner to corner. Pro level built quality. The focus scale is very useful. The clutch type auto manual focus change mechanism is a little irritating. Autofocus is noisy too. Those who can stretch the budget can go for the Tokina 11-20 version as 11-16mm range is a bit limiting. Otherwise, this is the best UWA lens for APS-C cameras!

Though it's pricey, it's the best available landscape lens for AF P non compatible nikon APS C DSLR cameras.Excellent for landscape photography.Not so good for indoor images, especially in low light situations.Has got pin cushion effect, but not prominent in landscape images.There s no locking option for the focal length control ring which is a bit problem. The focusing ring feel flimsy in auto mode, but works brilliantly in manual mode.Overall, happy with the purchase, though it's pricey

Very good wide angle lens. Sharp, and with f2.8 aperture, you can capture beautiful night sky photo. Do keep in mind that at 11mm visible lens barrel distortion, to keep the distortion at minimum, you'll need to shoot with proper leveler (this is not a flaw, but its expected for such wide angle)

Ordered this lens on 5 Nov. 18 (Dhanteras), estimated delivery date was 9 Nov. , But hats off to Amazon for such a blazing fast delivery, it was delivered on 7 Nov.. (Diwali), making it the perfect gift. About the lens, it's build quality is awesome, sharp images all around the frame, currently I'm using it on my D750 at 16mm with zero issues

Amazing lens at this budget. A must buy. Its just that low light focusing is not that great and makes little slow in focusing in low light. But yet again unbelieveable wideangle

For wideangle, this is one of the best lens.. Sharpness is good. Focus speed is good. On the whole.. Its worth the cost..

I am a novice photographer/videogpraher. For me and my use, this lens is simply amazing. This is a well reviewed product, so I will try to keep it short. I got the Nikon version, for USA market from The Camera Box.I find that the lens I received is great. Sure, if you pixel peep, you will find this, that and the other. Dont care. For the deal price that i got this for (with USA warranty confirmed with Tokina) from The Camera Box, you simply cannot get a better ultra wide from Nikon or anyone else. This is a fast lens, which is great for low light and night sky use. Tac sharp. Feels like its made to last. Comes with quality lens cover, interface cover and hood. It is a bit hard at first to install and remove the hood, but after a few dozen operations it settles into perfect (unlike the Nikon lens/hoods, that feel too easy to install/remove after just a few operations).This does not have VR, but you really dont need it. Ultra wides do just fine without VR. I find that the 11-16mm focal range is perfect for this lens intended purpose. The newer model is 11-20mm, and, honestly, I feel like I am not missing out on anything. That extra 4mm of focal range is totally not a thing. If it was 11-28mm-ish, well, thats different. That would get you into portrait territory. 20mm is just not quite enough (even with the DX conversion) for it to be anything other than an wide angle lens. So, unless you can get the 11-20mm for the price of the 11-16mm, dont bother. The other differences between them are trivial at best.In summary, this is a fantastic lens for the price I paid with USA warranty. The 11-20mm would have been 35% more expensive vs the deal I got on the the 11-16mm. That extra focal range is totally not worth 35% more money. Fact is, either way, if you want portraits, you will need to switch to another lens. 20mm is just not going to do it. The 11-16mm and the 11-20mm are ultra wide to wide, and thats all they can be.

Luego de usarlo durante 18 meses en TODAS las condiciones posibles, hago esta reseña. Objetivo usado en montura F de Nikon, APS-C. Construcción. Objetivo robusto, con calidades altas que funciona perfectamente con el cuerpo de la cámara. No es sellado, por el segmento al que va dirigido. Entusiastas. Enfoque. preciso, rápido y silencioso. Distancia mínima de enfoque 30cm. Comportamiento. Aberraciones cromáticas. Escasas, todas corregibles. Flares suelen ser mas frecuentes que las ACs en momentos de alto contraste o cuando enfocas al sol de frente. El parasol de pétalos ayuda un poco. Nocturnas. Su amplia apertura lo hace ideal para quien guste de esta disciplina. En la mayoría de los casos (nocturnas me refiero) ira mejor con una APS-C de gama media/alta por la gestión del ruido. Si trabajas con apilamiento de las imágenes con exposiciones cortas no habrá problema con el ruido. Paisaje. Supremo. Una delicia en la fidelidad del color y la nitidez salvo en las esquinas donde apreciaras la deformación en barril a 11-14mm. Viñeteo leve, tambien corregible. Calidad precio: normal, aunque realmente vale más de lo que cuesta. Objetivo durable, de calidad, que recomiendo para usuarios de Nikon interesados en Paisaje, arquitectura, inmobiliaria o fotografía nocturna. Dentro de su rango es superior. Calidad de un Prime. Great lens, I use it mostly for astrophotography and landscape. Good price for a versatile and sharp lens.

キットレンズの広角側18mmでは画角が足りない＆開放F値が大きいため購入しました。結果からいうと「大変満足」です。まずは何より「画角」。自分の見ている景色がまるごと画角に収まるのは感動モノです。そして「F値」。薄暗い室内で手ブレしない程度までシャッタースピードを上げられるのが便利ですし、何より夜景や星景写真が綺麗に撮れます。このレンズがこの価格だと考えるとかなりお買い得だと思いました。一応短所を挙げるとすれば、AFがうるさくて遅いことでしょうか。動画を撮りたり方などは、気を付けたほうがいいかもです。まあ景色を撮るのに爆速AFは必要ないですし、星を撮るときはMFですから、私にとっては短所ではないんですけど。あとatx-i 11-16mm F2.8 CFと比べるとレンズのデザインがちょっと古臭いですかね？私のようなド素人には光学性能での不満点は感じられませんでした。写真はド素人が撮ったものなので、参考程度にどうぞ。画角は11mmです。

Bin sehr zufrieden, AF ist für mich schnell genug. Bei mir auch supergenau & knackscharf, kissenförmige Verzerrungen sind im Rahmen (für diese Brennweite eigentlich sogar sehr gut). CAs hab ich bei meinem Exemplar wenig, aber schon manchesmal sichtbar, lässt sich aber in der Nachbearbeitung einfach entfernen.Was man wissen sollte: Filter zum Objektivschutz (UV) gehen zwar drauf, aber sogar bei Slim Modellen in den Ecken ganz leicht sichtbar.
