I had previously purchased a watch that was endorsed by the Marines; however, it was not the best quality. Looking for a casual wear, military watch, I ran across this one and it has worked out. It doesn't require batteries and I just wind it once a day and it keeps running. I am quite satisfied with this purchase.

Keeps great time easy to read especially in low or no light conditions.

I'm a collector and have a number of Sea-Gull (and many Swiss also). The second hand in this watch has a stutter-stop. Not even remotely smooth. I'm going to give it a few days to see if it settles in, but I've not seen this problem with any of my Swiss, Japanese, Russian or Chinese watches. As I try to synchronize seconds, the second hand jumps four seconds forward. I believe the QC on this movement failed.

The SEA-GULL watch is reasonably accurate, some 5-6 seconds fast each day. I'm pleased with the watch.

I purchased an earlier model of this watch that had the "Sea-Gull" printed on the face; otherwise it was exactly the same.Of all the automatic watches I've tried, this has been the most accurate "out of the box" watch I've ever owned, other than the Seiko spring-drive model watches, of course, that were "spot on" after a month. This watch keeps time within a second or two per day.... unbelievable. Actually, it went plus or minus each day depending on the activities and temperature, at he end of the week it was within a few seconds...... Very impressive.
