I have a Nespresso Inissia machine and have tried a lot of different pods, but always return to the Starbucks brand. These Pike Place roast pods are our favourites (and we have tried a lot) and so these are the ones we buy the most (although I also love the caramel and vanilla flavours, also by Starbucks).The coffee is strong and very smooth and there is no bitter after taste which you get with some of the pods. At the moment these are cheaper than the supermarket, so I am buying from Amazon.

Lovely taste, I drink it black and it’s not too head blowingly strong first thing in the morning!Good value too.

I’d bought a variety pack to find which I preferred and this won. It’s not too strong or bitter, but it still has a rich coffee taste.

These pods are definitely quick and convenient and IMHO are less bitter and harsh than the standard Nespresso pods. They might not be in the same league as fresh brewing a specialty coffee, but we don't always have time to pull multiple espresso shots before we dial in the perfect cup.These pods get you 80% of the way to a great cup of coffee without going through the traditional espresso making process, which is great if you're on the go a lot and want something that gives you consistently decent tasting coffee.If you like the Starbucks flavour profile, then you'll be happy with the results. The Pike Place roast has a less harsh acidity compared to the house blend and tastes a little nutty. It isn't a sweet as a blonde roast, so if you take sugar in your coffee, you might want to add your own sweetness. The favour doesn't punch you in the face like the House Blend, but they are pretty similar and you probably won't tell the difference unless you are tasting them back to back.It's definitely a big step up from an instant coffee, but know that there are far better brews out there if you do put the time in to make them.As with all Nespresso pods they are hard to recycle unless you want to take them to a Nespresso store. We take the grounds out of ours to mix in with compost for the garden. If you fully clean the capsules out they are made from aluminium and can be put in some recycling bins (Definitely check on your local council's website).

Great quality and value for money

I'm a latte drinker and often order a starbucks latte venti in store.I've tried loads of pods including many different starbucks pods and these Pike Place pods are just as good as an in store venti.I make a venti sized coffee at home by using the espresso setting for 3 pods and then topping up with warm and frothed milk to make it 500 ml.Yes it takes 3 pods, but all in, I have a venti sized starbucks latte for £1.15 instead of £4.50 and takes 2 minutes to make.Only nespresso pods I buy now.

I like these but they really are ridiculously expensive now from just a few months ago.Shame because I'd buy all the time but they are just to much.

Whether you're a fan of Starbucks or not, these are great value, tasty alternatives to Nespresso Original pods.Being Aluminium (like the Nespresso Originals) you don't run the risk of damaging your machine that you can with some cheap plastic alternatives, and you can include them in your Nespresso / PodBack recycling bag.Been using them for a darn long time and plan to continue doing so (well, certainly as long as they're still available on Amazon's Subscribe and Save program) :)
