Generic SCYORK XMRM-006A Voice Remote Control Replacement for Xiaomi Mi-Stick MDZ-24-AA 1080P HD Streaming Media Player with Netflix/PrimeVideo Shortcut App Keys

I keep losing my remote. I decided to purchase a second one which I did a couple years ago. Having two worked out great however the replacement slowly failed. So I needed a new one. I decided to look for different options and found this. The immediate benefit is the PRIME button as my original and first replacement had a live TV button instead. The PRIME button is way more useful for me. The remote arrived very quickly. Essentially it's just the remote in a bubble wrap bag/sleeve within a standard Amazon bubble mailer. Quick inspection it appears to be close to identical to the original. Once you compare the two side by side it's more obvious the replacement is textured rather then the smooth plastic of the original. The buttons are also a textured soft touch rubber where the original was smooth plastic. That's a bonus in my opinion. The pairing instructions above are incorrect; 1) Settings, Remotes & Accessories, Select current remote, Unpair. remove batteries from all of your Xianomi remotes. Unplug the MI box, plug it back in. As it's rebooting and the Android TV screen is popping up with all your apps, press and hold two buttons, the menu button (the one with 9 squares) and the circle button. Do this on the replacement remote. You need to be within 8 inches of the MI box. After about 10 seconds it'll beep. You're paired. Remove its batteries. Unplug the MI box, plug it back in. Take your original remote and once Android TV has booted up again, press and hold those two buttons. Within 8 inches, it won't work from the couch. Again it'll beep when paired. Now you can add batteries back into the replacement. They should both work. If you go to Settings again you'll see two listed as my picture above. This remote functions as smoothly as the original. I've received remotes for my Roku and they were significantly cheaper (and for two). That makes this pretty pricey, that said it's about the only solution and it works well.**MONTH UPDATE** It's way better than the OEM remote. I really like the textured soft touch buttons. Worth it.
