My favorite thing about this unit is that it's quiet when operating, and comes with stickers to put over the blue LED active lights :-) so it's fine in a bedroom. I have real trouble even knowing when it's moving. Access is quick and easy, and it's been running with no hitch for 6-8 months now.

So first things first, this arrived very quickly, and in impressive form. The box was armored with plastic on the corners, and inside the box the item itself was very securely padded by foam. As you might expect after all of that, the thing was in pristine shape when I took it out of the box.As for performance, it seems to be just what I needed. I fit two dive watches on one side, and two dress watches on the other. I don't have huge watches like some people do, but the dive watches are both 41mm and there's a bit of room to spare. It's very, very quiet, but not silent. That said, I think most people's heating & air makes more noise than this. I'm not sure I'll be able to hear it from my bed.Overall, it's a really nice looking case; looks great on my dresser. It's solidly built and has a nice heft to it. The bottom has feet so it won't scuff surfaces and won't slide around. I'm very happy with it.EDIT: I forgot to mention that it comes with extra pillows (foam pieces) for your watches, as well as a couple of cleaning cloths. It's small stuff, I know, but it was a nice touch.

09.09.21 Update!Shortly after posting the review below, I received an email from the seller (Watch Winder Smith) suggesting the motors would be replaced. All I had to do was confirm the winder model, and describe the issues I experienced.Within a couple weeks, the new motors arrived from China. These motors are much more substantial, and quiet than the originals. Thanks to a couple helpful videos, I was able to install the motors in 15-20 minutes!This seller obviously cares about service, and I'd have no hesitation doing business with them again!Thank you WWS!Original ReviewAfter reading a few favorable reviews, I ordered this 4 watch winder, paying about twice the cost of the last winder I'd purchased.The unit is beautiful, and has a "high quality" feel. Unfortunately, within a couple month both motors ceased functioning, and the seller was no longer on Amazon.The result - I'm stuck with an expensive, and attractive watch winder that doesn't wind!

I have both a Wolf single winder and this Watch Winder Smith (WWS) quad box. The Wolf is completely silent, but the WWS makes a small mechanical noise when rotating. I have this in a closet, so really a non-issue, but if it were beside the bed, that might upset some light sleepers. I'd love to see better quality cushions and would describe these as adequate--they hold the watches securely. Even with two heavy divers right next to each other, they don't move when it's winding. I would like to see some sort of soft-close mechanism on the lid so that it if you accidentally let go of the top, it doesn't slam shut.I really like the look and feel of this one compared to other non-Wolf winders. Basically the tier below Wolf, there seems to be a lot of low quality generic and rebranded winders. Most of these have cheap, fake wood, super noisy motors, and poor fit and finish. This WWS I would say is well above those in terms of quality, but not quite as nice as the Wolf. The bamboo is nice, it was well-packaged, and has been working flawlessly. It doesn't look out of place with very nice watches in it and I have no qualms having it on the shelf next to the Wolf.

Original issue (June 2019) shown below for context. Here is an update (September 2019).The people contacted us from China to find out what was wrong. They shipped replacement motor gearbox units, along with tools and some other spares. They PHONED me from China to update me and check that materials arrived in good order, and to see if I needed help with replacing the various bits.Stripping the device and replacing the components was very interesting. You would be pleasantly surprised at the robust construction, the neatness of the electronics, the quality of the fit and finish. Clever, thoughtful engineering shows everywhere. This is a polished, well thought through product.We could hear the difference in the new and old gearboxes. It is a nicely put together sealed unit and I hope that we were just unfortunate with the originals.I have nothing but the best things to say about the attentiveness of the people, the quality of service, and the clean, robust, smart build. It sounds great again!Original issue: While the device is pretty, it has grown noisier over time, to the extent that it keeps people up at night.This was a Christmas gift in 2018. The product return window closed in Jan 2019 and the product support closed in March 2019. Sometime in June 2019 the noise started and I tried getting help, but was unsuccessful in contacting anyone. Normally I would not be writing a negative review without the manufacturer having a chance to rectify the issue.

I had a smaller model which allow only two watches and decided to buy a bigger one that manages 4. Unfortunately one of the two winders doesn’t work . LED doesn’t turn on and no movements at all what ever the mode selected. The second winder works perfectly well …Very frustrating and have to return

Winder arrived as promised and was packaged well. Was impressed as I open it up…..UNTIL…I saw the watch pillows. Basically foam. Not closed cell or high quality foam, just cheap ol foam. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the pillows. Why cheap out on one of the most important things? I’m gonna keep it and see if I can find more substantial pillows that will fit. I’ve already wasted $12 on pillows that looked nice, but are junk. Will continue to see what I can find …..
