Must read for people with Severe Eczema, RSS, TSW, TSA
This book has been a GOD sent for us. We were completely in the dark on how to control our daughter's so called Severe eczema. Actually, the Steroid creams we had used on her had resulted in a condition called Red skin syndrome (RSS) or Topical steroid addition (TSW) or Topical Steroid withdrawal (TSW). Because of the RSS, our kid had developed a lot of food sensitivities all of a sudden. Her eczema would suddenly flare up for no known reasons. We were at a breaking point unable to see our kid's pain. At this time, we came across this book by Karen. We went through each chapter multiple times. Karen has written this book with so much thoughtfulness and care that she has tried to address the problems for all age groups starting from infants to old people with multiple other conditions like heart ailments, diabetes etc. We immediately started on this diet program for our kid and she has shown a great improvement. We had spent countless nights without sleep. Now, our kid is slowly coming back to normal thanks to all the information from this book. There are no quick fixes to eczema, RSS, TSW or TSA. But this book has helped us gain our sanity back and put us on the right path. We could figure out that our kid is more sensitive to amines and amine rich foods rather than salicylates. So, I would say that each person is different and they might have different problems leading to eczema. My suggestion is to go through each chapter multiple times and relate to one's own condition / situation in life and figure out what is best for them. This book gives almost all the information needed to manage one's eczema.Karen, we cant thank you enough for your research and insightful book.

It worked for me!
Wow! I'm ecstatic! I've had eczema most of my life. It has really flared in the last six years. I've been to allergists, dermatologists and integrative medicine doctors and they all had different ideas which I tried with minimal to no relief. I foolishly decided to take myself off the strongest steroid ointment which I had started using quite liberally and of course my body reacted negatively when I abruptly stopped it. I had steroid withdrawal syndrome which lead me on an internet search. I found this book and learned about the "itchy dozen". I eliminanted them from my diet (dairy being the hardest) and bingo my eczema cleared completely for the first time in years. I'm starting the process of adding things back in to determine which of the dozen is/are the culprit/s. I highly recommend trying this diet if you are suffering like I was. Good luck!

Great information for eczema sufferers.
Picked up some useful and effective information that helped control the eczema on my face, like the quecetin supplement which helped a lot. A good reference book for eczema sufferers. The kindle version though was not 100% good as it defaulted back to a particular page sometimes. Could be my kindle but I did not experience this with other books.

Every Eczema sufferer needs this info!
The media could not be loaded. The eczema diet has been a game-changer for me! My job as a nurse aggravates my hand eczema to the MAX! But This diet got to the root cause of my inflammation. Amines? Salicylates? I had never heard of them and they were hurting me. I understand my condition so much more now. The elimination diet is not easy as first but it is temporary and you will get relief!

Eczema diet has worked well for my 13 month old
I have never written a review before but felt I had to if it helps another parent to help their baby who has eczema. My 13 month old baby has had mild-medium eczema since about 3 months old on and off. While breastfeeding exclusively I went gluten and dairy free for several months which really helped. However the eczema came back once she started eating solids and the last few months it has been quite bad. We started the eczema diet (for both of us since I am still breastfeeding her) 3.5 weeks ago. At almost 3 weeks the eczema had almost completely gone, a vast improvement, so I have started introducing other foods. The first was organic natural yoghurt for 3 days and her skin is still great. I will continue to introduce new foods as advised in the book. Thankyou Karen, this diet is wonderful and means I have been able to avoid using external products on my baby.

Amazing very thorough book
I've been struggling with my nursing baby's for the past year and half and have read many reports online and met many professional both conventional and unconventional and have eliminated many things out of our diets but I could never make heads or tails out of this eczema/allergy situation. After following all the recommendations in this book in all areas diet, bath, creams and vitamins and amino acids etcI can finally see a diference in my baby, i keep going back to double check things in the book , i use it so much that i bought a real book after getting one on my kindle, highly recommended, very thorough book.

Interesting, but Kindle edition not well detailed. Haven't tried the diet yet, but it looks difficult to keep.
So first, the Kindle edition doesn't look too great everywhere. It's readable and usable, I just don't understand why it is so difficult to get this right. As to the diet and book: the writer seems very informed, and very knowledgeable, but it's still a little 'suspicious' that apperently the scientific community isn't quite behind her yet. However, I've put it on my to do list to someday try to follow this diet, but I would really have to set aside a serious amount of time to figure out where to get all the ingredients, learn how to make the recipes, and to have the mindset to stick to it. (For now, if you're interested, I'm finding that a really greasy moisterizing cream is helping me quite a bit with my eczema.)

Too restrictive!
If my Eczema was as serious as some other people, I might try this diet, but when I read all of the restrictions, I laughed. I would rather deal with the minor annoyance than give up a variety of good tasting foods.
