I Love this handy tool!
This gadget functions exactly as advertised, and its ease of use is remarkable. I primarily use it for my cucumbers, which I grow on a cattle panel. It secures them effectively without causing any damage. I can tie a 40-foot row in just minutes, saving me significant time and enabling me to grow more cucumbers vertically. Replacing the ribbon is simple, and the staples load effortlessly, much like a staple gun. The package includes an ample supply of ribbon and extra staples, as well as an additional cutting blade. Overall, it is an excellent purchase worth every penny.

Holds the BlackBerry canes up!
The tool itself deserves five stars but I’m giving it four because I found the instructions to be a little vague. It took me 5 or 10 minutes to figure out how to make it work right (I’m still unsure how to feed new ribbon through when it comes time). But once I figured out the mechanics of it, I was out getting all the black Berry canes tied up rather quickly. I definitely believe it saved me a lot of time. The additional staples and all the ribbon is a great touch! Two different color ribbon will allow me to alternate each season to help keep track of cane growth.

Stick to the twist ties, rope, string or whatever you used before.....
I wanted to love this item. I have a huge garden with over 1000+ plants, 200 alone are tomatoes so I thought this would be perfect come trellising season. First, it was incredibly hard to get going. It took me an hour of playing with it before it would staple, pull the tape and cut the tape correctly. I was able to trellis 6 or so tomato plants before it fell apart...literally. It refuse to pull the tape at all, I tried changing positions, using a new roll of tape event tried manually hooking the tape to the catch but nothing worked. I wasted all that time trying to get it to work because I thought it would be so helpful. Lucky I was able to return before the window close. Additionally, the instructions are terrible, i had to watch a youtube video. The instructions are in correct with regard to the way to turn the staples.

Really cool but can be a tad tricky.
It comes with a ton of the tape plus one already installed. I practiced using it on my index finger. It had moments when it didn't want to make the initial grap of tape to make a wrap around before stapling. With just a little practice I was able to get it down pretty quick and was able to make wraps. This is so much simpler and faster than using twist ties like I always do. Not to mention cleanup. Finding as many of those ties as I can after growing season is over. This stuff can just be torn. It will dry rot in the sun and disintegrate over time. Now with all this said it takes a few more wraps than it did twist ties as this isn't as strong. That's OK because the tape and staples are so cheap and plentiful. And because I know someone will ask, no the wraps aren't too tight on the plants.

Easy to use and save a huge amount of time.
Takes a little getting use to but once you figure it out will save a huge amount of time. I grow hundreds of tomato plants a year. It use to take me days to tie them up by hand. No it just takes hours. I did not hurt a single plant using the plant tape that came with this tool.

Spend more time trying to get it to work correctly than using it.
When it works, it works. However, I've had continual issues with the tension rod that holds in the staples coming loose and falling out, tape catcher losing tape, etc. I may just spend a little extra and buy another one that has higher reviews/quality and hope it works better.

Excellent way to hold up vegetables
I used this last year and I’m using it this year as well and it’s held up great and works so much better than twine, which will often dig into your tomatoes if you don’t cut it loose, or any other options I’ve tried. It takes a few tries to figure out how it works but once you understand how it works, it’s pretty simple to use. Comes with plenty of tape and staples. I used it on 65 tomato plants last year and about the same this year and I’ve gone through a couple roles of tape and a few staple strips. Make sure and clean it off every so often.
