Firstly, these things are *huge* in bulk. That's not a negative, I just underestimated it, and had I bought it for my father he would have hated it, so be aware.That said, in my application I am using it to mount a 1"-tube scope on my DPMS Oracle flat-top AR. It works great. The very heavy-duty bolt to secure the mount to the rail inspires a lot of confidence in the security of my zero. The scope itself is locked into the ring by SIX bolts per mount, a total of TWELVE bolts clamping it in. I can't see my sight zero going anywhere unless I bend my scope.Atop the mount, I have mounted a generic 1x-40mm red dot sight. The picatinny rails have softened corners, but can be clamped down to just fine.There is a small circular hole through the bottom portion of the mount which could *potentially* be sighted through if you had low profile iron sights. I used them to decent effect for dead reckoning when my red dot's battery died on the range.I did not the experience the issue the negative reviewers reported about the plastic spacer ring walking out of place. It seems incredibly secure if the ring bolts are properly tightened.

Fit good make sure you have a 12mm wrench to secure to tightly to rail I have a bushnell 3-9x40 I needed the sleeves to get it to fit the scope but after that good hold and countless options for mounting accessories.

I know the description says will fit 20mm Piccatiny and Weaver bases BUT these have a round pin and will only mount to a Piccatiny rail system with the slots for the pin to rest between. I purchased them wanting to mount a light onto an older rifle that only has a Weaver rail. Other than wasting my time and disappointment that these would not work in my application, the rings are sturdy, the pins are swagged and pressed into the base, they come with Allen keys, a set of adapter rings for smaller scope tubes and Piccatiny accessory rails that would have been nice to use for mounting a light. They are a little big compared to more conventional rings. Just not suited for standard Weaver base. See the photos of the base and comparitive size. Headed back to Amz via the UPS store.

absolutely no instructions at all how to use the various inserts with different numbers…. Plus, the ring caps are missing two screws!!….. Just Chinese junk!!
