Excellent!!
Vortex best warranty in the business. Very impressed with the clarity, color, and quality of these Bino’s. I have the Razor gen 2 and 3 rifle scopes and absolutely love them. These are way more than I expected for the money. Buy a pair you won’t regret it.

Upgrading your glass is worth it
For the last two seasons I’ve been using the Crossfires, and while they’re ok for a starter pair, they aren’t the greatest. Case in point being back in December when a small basket rack showed up at 70 yards. Had a tough time making out a third point to make sure he was legal in Western PA. Didn’t shoot him as I had gotten my buck back in late September. After having that issue, I wanted to upgrade my binos, and well the Vipers are exactly what I want. Great quality and exceptional detail. I’ve been able to watch some turkeys outside my house, and have had no problems picking out the Jakes and Hens. I look forward to seeing how well they do come archery in the fall.

My first new binoculars
I'm using it on outdoor walks and for birdibg. I am very satisfied with the product. But since it's my first new binoculars I can't really tell if this is the best price/quality correlation binoculars. I very like the field of view and definition. It's also compact and light. Definitely the best binoculars I have ever used.

Great Binoculars!
A really great set of binoculars. I have been using mine heavily for birding for the last year and a half. Pros: They have great glass that is very clear and bright. They fit well in my hands. The build quality is excellent and durable. They basically look and feel exactly like the day I bought them, maybe a little patina on the rubber armor. I don't really care for the special case they come with and not many other seem to use it. The binoculars really feel durable enough that a case doesn't feel needed. I have kept mine in the truck through blazing hot summer days and freezing cold nights with no apparent distress. The locking diopter is nice because you set it once and forget about it for life. The rain caps and lens covers both work well, are durable and easy to use. There is absolutely zero backlash in the focus wheel, which makes focus precision better. Cons: The eye cups could use stronger detent. I use mine fully extended because I don't wear glasses and I frequently find the view messed up due to one of the eye cups retracting to another setting. This is really annoying when you are trying to get that real quick view of a rare bird and have to stop to fix the eye cup. The focus wheel has (I presume) some kind of damping fluid in it. At cold temps, this fluid becomes very viscous and makes the wheel very tough to turn. This issue is compounded by wearing gloves and losing grip. The neck strap connection to the binoculars comes loose at the adjustment buckle, I've moved to an aftermarket strap. I've looked at the high end binoculars in the Vortex line and have not noticed that these mechanical issues have been fixed.

The binoculars I purchased are of really good quality, unfortunately once I received them I realised I should have chosen a lower magnification, my fault ! Amazon have been very understanding and set up a return for me and I will receive a full refund when this is done. In the meantime I have already remade my purchase with amazon for a lower magnification pair and looking forward to receiving those.

I bought these to replace a $200 Nikon set. The Nikons were fine but these are extremely good. I used them (10x40) on an African safari and compared them to colleagues' 6x30 and 10x40 Swarowski's. These were better at low light gathering than the smaller Swars, and about equal to the bigger ones. I noticed no colour distortion of edge effects (minimal). Easy to set up and use tracking moving animals. Only complaint is the rather cheap way of attaching the objective lens covers (held in place with a rubber ring). I lost one the first time out, though a friend found it for me. By contrast the Swar's have an attachment built into the objective lens - very nice. However, for the price I believe these are an excellent acquisition.
