I bought this to replace a defunct Bosch steam iron. Bosch don't do irons anymore or I guess I'd have had another.Having looked at the reviews, there seemed to be downsides to all in my price range. So it was a compromise, and being older, I prioritised a lightweight model and a brand I knew as reliable.Now having used it, I find it does a good job.It glides well though not quite as well as the Bosch which had a steel base, steam output is good and so is the heat output. The descaling facility is a plus, limescale build up finished off my old Bosch as, having moved to a hard water area, I didn't realise it could be such a problem.Cons: the cord is only about 2 metres, it's OK for my ironing situation but I think 3 would be better for most folk, the water level is hard to see but that's been the case with every iron I've ever had. I bought it in spite of it being blue but that's just me!All in all, I think it good value for money so far.

Great iron easy to use cuts ironing time in half so smooth to use. Very good value holds heat very well light weight with no dripping, very comfortable to hold..

Of course I used it for ironing all mine and my husbands clothing. It's light, which I need as I have arthritus it's lovely and smooth and a joy to use!!!

The iron is really good, but stopped working after 6 months. Trying to get a replacement/ refund is not easy. Amazon having passed the problem onto phillips gave me the wrong number to contact them, they also gave a date they would phone me to see if it had been sorted out, but that didn"t happen.I have had to return the iron to Phillips, which wasn"t easy and guess what? Still waiting.

Good value for money, reputable make. Glides smoothly over items. Steam functions well. Light to hold, very pleased with it.
