This line is great, originally bought for my wife, because it's pink. But I love it so I use it too.

Great line, I use it for saltwater fly line backing in 30lb, and for inshore spinning I use it in 12, and 20lb. No issues yet, and the price makes it an incredible value. Nowadays most fishing line is made in the same half dozen factories anyway, so I am really happy with the KastKing for the price.

I got the 20lb x4 line to bank fish for Florida bass in the 1-6lb range. Generally, I am fishing in glades, or canals. Sedge and submerged sticks are encountered in the glades; pads and grasses in the canals. This line holds up well under these conditions. Although long casts are not that important, this line actually casts a country mile if you want to. I have pulled lures through surface pads and submerged bramble patches. And so far, I haven't had to break off! Each time, I've been able to horse through the obstruction. Even better, I have not encountered any breakoffs when catching toothy critters like alligator gar. Just lucky; but you never get lucky with inferior gear. This line is inexpensive, but quite good. Kudos!

Just like the other reviews comparing it to PowerPro braid mine will be no different except..... It's strong, durable, and casts great. The standard PowerPro braid may be a little stronger than KastKing of the same rating and it feels as though the PowerPro braid coating may be a little thicker than the Last King. We put it to the test catching several large Bullseye Snakeheads and only one broke the 20lb braid just as I landed it on the bank. It looks and feels just like PowerPro... Casts the same if not better, but I'm not sure if it will last as long as PowerPro braid. For the price, I'd buy more in the future when needed. Great alternative to PowerPro braid, cheaper, and more line for the $$$

I have braided rugs and unfortunately, newer manufactures sew their rugs together with clear monofilament. When vacuuming, the monofilament will eventually break. Have used a similar product in the past, and this is just perfect for doing rug repair. Blends well with the rug, easy to use, does not knot or tangle, strong and reliable! Yes, I know, I am using fishing line to sew a rug together, but for me!? It works and is strong! It holds together and does not let go or break, like the monofilament does. Very pleased!

Thus is the only braid I buy for all my rods now. First time using this was on a jetty fishing fir Rick fish and lingcod. Every time I would reel in, the line would get stuck in barnacles on the rocks. Held up like a champ without fraying or weakening. Color selection is great, and the price is even better.

Kastking continues to impress me with their budget minded fishing products and Silky 8 does just that. Great braid offered in just about any color and break strength at an affordable price. Don't get all caught up in all the braid strength tests amongst all the high dollar manufacturers. I fish around a ton of oyster beds and this stuff holds up like any other. Just buy it you won't regret it.
