Aquarium Lights-100 watt 5 Channels Sunrise Sunset Moonlight Reef Lights for Coral SPS LPS Saltwater Tank(Black) (A100, WATTS, 100)

I bought this light when it was $75 but keep in mind that it increased significantly since then and it's well over $100 now. So I'm reviewing that with the price that I paid in mind. Overall this is really great light with seven independent channels of differently colored LEDs were all of them can be adjusted from 0 to 100%. This way you can set the exact light color that you want. On top of that there are two settings, one for daylight and one for night light. The light also has sunrise and sunset and you can adjust the length of each not only the color of light for them. The light is almost silent and you can hear the fan only if you set the light intensity to the max. But even then it's fairly quiet. It comes with mounting arm and hanging kit, so you can choose how you put it over your aquarium. I run two of them over 40 inch wide aquarium. And I said the intensity to about 50%, so you can definitely use it for much bigger tank.

This light is an improvement over other similar ones at this price point. Had an Aqua Illumination light but hated having to try to connect to it via wifi and all that BS. Never could get the color temp to look good to my eye but it kept corals alive.The features on this light are almost perfect and I am still getting used to it. The color temp looks awesome to my eye, perfect 1400K white / blended with the actinics and UV produces nice colors I was not seeing with my previous light.My feedback for the manufacture. It would be nice if the Sun Rise / Sunset feature had separate color programing. I prefer staring out under actinics and ramping up towards the daylight function and then ramping back down so sunset.As it is, Sunrise/Sunset is just a lower output of the Daylight.Otherwise, this light is almost perfect.

I used the Aquaknight light made by this brand and when I was ready to upgrade I wanted to use the same brand and so glad I did. I bought these lights 1 year ago and I am shortly going to buy a 3rd to go over my 125 build I’m in process of setting up. The mounting hardware is made well except the screws holding onto tank are plastic . The screw holding one of the adjustments is slightly threaded out. Those are the only two issues I’ve had. I may build a custom light stand to go over tank to hold all 3 avoiding these issues. The light itself is as close you will get to a $500 light for a black box edition. The light is heavy durable and well made. The buttons on the light are easy to naviagate once you learn how to set up. You have option to set up sunrise time , peak sunlight, and moonlight. The system gradually raises and lowers intensity between the times. Also it Bluetooth connects to the second light so you only have to put your selections into the first light and the second syncs to the same settings. It has very very powerful lights. It comes set with pre programmed lighting schedules for sps, lps and mix , freshwater . I run mine for 10 hours a day. I run 100% violets at moon time to fluorescent my corals and give my mandarin time to hunt copepods before bed. I have had strong growth with these lights with all my corals - including acrapora, montipora , horn coral , brain corals , acans, trumpets, torch’s , chalices, to name a few that have all quadrupled in size since I added these lights and got serious about stable water chemistry and added kalkwasser in my ATO. Sorry for long response but I saw these lights were on sale and was amazed I didn’t leave a review after I bought them. Here I am over a year later and honestly just as happy. If your looking for a quality light to grow any type of coral and don’t care to have acclimation mode or have an app on your phone to control your lights or want to pay a car payment towards a light. Then this is the light your looking for. You won’t be disappointed and if you are send it back. I bought another black box light from Amazon and sent them back before finding these. Good luck

If you can get your schedule to work out, they are ok. but any changes you make to the lighting schedule, it's like they have to run a full 24 hours to get to the new settings. it's ridiculous. i changed the moon off timer by an hour and now my lights are off and won't come back on until tomorrow which is stressing out my fish.

I purchased the A100 around Feb 2024. The light is constructed well. The menu is cumbersome but straight forward. Everything worked fine. The LED colors and intensity is flexible and easy to set. I found that it produced too much light for my small 13 gallon EVO tank. This was easily adjusted and my coral (mainly LPS) looked great.In November the light just stopped working. Since this light has a 1 year warranty I reached out to the company for help. They quickly responded, asked me to try a couple of things and send them pictures. The interaction with the company was through email and they were responsive, but this whole process took some time. After about two months (the holidays were in this time frame) I received a replacement unit.So even though they were a little slow to actually send me a replacement unit, I did get a unit.I am not sure if my unit failing is bad luck, but I was very pleased with the company standing behind their product. Because I like the product and the company, I actually purchased a second unit.I hope this helps!
