Works Excellent With Official PS3 Controllers
This adapter works seamlessly with PS3 controllers. This is everything I was looking for. It gives you an authentic PS2 experience (especially with PS3 controllers) but without being directly tethered to the console. Definitely worth the money for me.

EXCELLENT DEVICE!! But with one caveat...
Item works and does its job very well. Played Ghosthunter on my 50001 model PS2 with a Dual Shock 3 i had (I actually pretty much own all the controllers supported with the device. but i used this one because it has the pressure sensitive buttons the PS2 has.) and it is AMAZING......when I used the micro USB i had laying around to power the device through the PS2. Some people say it should have had USB-C for outside power and thats a fair statement, but either way it should AT LEAST come with some short/medium length micro USB cable for power in case your PS2 cant power it through the controller port so you dont have to spend more money picking one up offhand. I have seen slim models able to power it through said port, but my fat PS2 needed to be connected to the USB port so YMMV. But otherwise excellent device and im very happy with my purchase!

What are you waiting for
Bought two for playing PS2 fighting games. Came to the realization that my PS2 controllers are kind of junk from age so I’ve been using them with a dual sense for even normal PS2 games. They just work.If they ever don’t work, just use the USB ports on the PS2 to add extra power to the converters and you’re golden. They just work.

Works wonders to use modern controllers on PS2!
Due to the setup of my living room, using a wired PS2 controller isn't exactly feasible without sitting closer than what the couches are to the tv, and that isn't fun at all. When I found out these adapters existed, I was skeptical - how are you able to use a PS4 controller on a PS2?! Well, apparently you are, and with complete ease. This little guy plugged right in, turned on, and within seconds of plugging my PS4 controller in via USB, it lit right up, synced, and worked like a charm. That being said, it sits a little pricy at $40, but being wireless and for use with modern tech, it's exactly what I needed!

Almost Perfect
Great adaptors, can confirm pressure sensitive buttons do work with a DS3 controller so long as you are on the latest firmware. Vibration though isn't accurate. Both motors do work independently of each other but it's always 100% unlike a original DualShock 2 that has variable speed vibration.

Works great!
I've had pretty good luck with Brook products in the past, and this is much more reliable than the older Super Converters have been. Compared to the 8bitdo adapter for PS1/2, this one is much better. It just works every time I've tried it.

Keylogger in Firmware Update Tool
Warning: As soon as I received the converter, I went to their website and downloaded their official MacOS tool to update the firmware. MacOS warned that the application was attempting to access all keystrokes, even those outside of the application. There should not be a need to access all keystrokes, unless they are attempting to steal private information. If this is a bug, it must be patched ASAP. Until then, it must be assumed that this is for malicious activity.Luckily, I was able to deny access within MacOS. However, be warned the firmware update tool may contain malicious software.

Works Great. Unless you're dumb (like me)
Revising my old review as I finally figured out what's going on. When you plug this into a legit ps2 it pairs and works flawlessly.Where I encountered trouble was using it with an adapter for my ps3 (it's a bypass for some ps2 game issues, long story). I guess it doesn't interface with the adapter very well, so I just pair with a legit ps2 now and then switch it to my PS3. Problem solved.

Works great for PS Classic but make sure you have a few different usb mini cables just in case....
I mainly purchased this to use with the PS Classic, and had issues with it at first because the usb cable I was using to connect to the PS Classic console was not adequate enough to power the device. I had to try a few other USB mini cables to finally get it to work. Also the rumble doesn't work with PS Classic but that is an issue with the PS Classic, haven't tried it on PS2 yet but hopefully the rumble works.Overall I think this is a great little device and the price is worth it considering all the different wireless and wired controllers that are compatible with it.

PS2 with a PS3 DS3 is fantastic!
YES! It uses pressure sensitivity when you use a Dual Shock 3! Its freaking awesome. So far no perceived input delay on a PS3 playing on a CRT. Its SUPER easy to use and set up.

May have issues with some third party controllers
I have a PS2 that I haven't been using in a while because I had packed away all the cables and accessories for it when I got a PS3. I got the converter to see if it would allow me to use my PS2 again without needing all the peripherals brought out for it.The Brook Wingman PS2 Converter allows you to use your wireless controllers on the PS2 console, so you can play your classic PS2 games without needing to bring out the wired PS2 controllers. The converter itself is shaped like a PS2 memory card for nostalgia's sake and fits into the PS2 controller port. It has two connector ports on it, one for a mini usb and one for a usb 2.0 port.I used this with an original PS3 controller, and I had to plug it in to allow the converter to sync to it. It won't sync through the bluetooth normally. The light on the converter will go from a flashing green to a solid white to show synced. You can then unplug the PS3 controller and turn it on to use it wirelessly. This worked pretty well with the PS3 controller and I was able to use it to play my PS2 games. Though I did run into a sync issue when I had to redo the syncing. It worked connected but the wireless mode didn't work until I had reset and resynced the controller again.I was also trying to connect it to my switch controllers, I don't have official pro controllers, they are third party controllers. For one of them connecting it wired will work and was able to play the game and respond to inputs, but it won't sync wirelessly. The sync always when back to the switch and could not sync to the converter. The other controller I had, did not work at all, wired or wireless. It would only connect to the switch and never could connect to the PS2.Overall, it's a nice little device that does something I haven't seen before. It allows me to play my PS2 without the old wired controllers and was fairly simple to setup. Though be aware that third party controllers may have issues.
