No, but, just 2 things I need to mention: 1. You do need a charge controller in between the battery and solar panel. (Because of the difference in voltage.) 2. If you do plan on going with a charge controller, make sure to run at least 2 solar panels in series into the charge controller if you have a 12V battery system. (3 if you have 24V system). This is because the voltage on the PV side must be 5 to 10V higher than the battery voltage system.

You could buy for example a 50ft length of wire and cut it in half to get 2x25ft lengths with MC4 connectors to go into the panel and bare wire to then go into the MPPT charge controller.
