Decent!
Overall, really nice lunchbox. Originally purchased in Dec. of 2022, and now its May 2023 and its still workin out for me Will say a few key points, for starters, after multiple go-arounds in the dishwasher, if one day you go to pack your lunch and it stops snapping into place, check the dishwasher!! There is a rectangle giant rubber band that goes all around the inside of the lid area to secure the snap into place, and sometimes the dishwasher may loosen it or knock it out. Learned this after a few days of rubber-banding my lunch box together haha. second, in my lunch box, there appeared a small crack in one of the smaller compartments after 2ish months. It doesnt go all the way through to the outside, and it doesn't cause any leakage. It has been there for awhile though, and hasn't gotten bigger in the months since it showed up. I am quite .... mean to my lunch box though (been banged against the wall, accidently, a few times...) and this box is supposely made out of more natural materials so, just something to keep in mind. Third, the box itself doesnt realllllly leak, but the compartments do leak to each other. If I pack pineapple in one compartment, and chicken in another, I've noticed that my chicken will taste a lil like pineapple juice. To help this, I either put/fold a paper towel over the whole lunch box before I snap it shut, or I put things like salad dressings and sauces in smaller, different containers. Also, don't rely on the fork provided because It kind of sucks... it is a fork, but that doesnt mean its very good at picking up anything. Also, one of the prongs chipped after a few months. It just kind of sits at the bottom of the silverware drawer, I don't use it personally. I purchased a medium for myself and I would say thats the right size for me and my everyday lunches. Update: Feb. of 2024 and the lunch box survives! Crack has not gotten bigger at all, no flaws, well made. But I still hate the fork. Ultimately, good purchase for long term and reliable. I always put it in the dishwasher, never handwashed it, and shes still going strong!

Good bento box for my five year old
I spent a lot of time researching lunch boxes before school started and ended up choosing this two-pack in pink for my 5-year-old. It was around $26 for both, which felt like a good deal. She can open and close it by herself with no problem, and we haven’t had any leaks so far (will update if that changes). It’s a good size for a school lunch and fits well in her backpack. One thing I appreciated is the little transparency sticker on the front, which lets you know it’s the real brand and not a fake version. What made me feel better about this one is that it’s CPC certified (meets U.S. child product safety standards), BPA-free, and made without chemical dyes or other harsh additives. There’s also a wheat fiber option available, which is more eco-friendly. It says it's microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe, which makes things a lot easier for us. Overall, this has been a great choice so far. It’s safe, simple, and doesn’t break the bank.

I did a lot of research before buying a lunch box, and I’m so glad I went with the MISS BIG Bento Box. It’s honestly one of the best I’ve tried! I got the large 1900ml white version, and it’s perfect for adult-sized portions, plenty of space for a full meal with sides or snacks. The design is super practical, three compartments keep everything nicely separated, and the leak-proof seal really works (no spills in my bag so far!). The latches are easy to open and close, even for kids, and it even comes with a fork which is a nice bonus. I also love that it’s made from eco-friendly wheat fiber, BPA-free, and free from chemical dyes. It feels sturdy but lightweight, and it’s safe for the microwave, dishwasher, and freezer, which makes cleaning and meal prep so easy. Overall, this lunch box looks great, feels premium, and performs better than many higher-priced brands. Whether you’re packing meals for work, school, or picnics, this is a perfect choice for both adults and kids. Highly recommend it!

The company reached out to me regarding the damaged bento box and was very quick to offer a solution. A replacement was sent out to me and upon receiving it, the bento box was in perfect condition. It was quick and easy dealing with Sandy, very good customer service! While I still feel like these bento lunchboxes aren’t designed for “leaky” type foods e.g. wet fruit, they are a fantastic size for everyday lunches. Sandwiches fit in there perfectly and the two smaller portioned spaces are great for veggies or crackers or similar foods. The lid snaps on tight and the bento box is the perfect size for school lunches. ********************* I purchased 3 of these (two large blue/wheatgrass colors, 1 small grey color). I was disappointed to see that the wheatgrass colored one arrived damaged (see photo). The other two arrived just fine. The two larger containers came with a small fork that can sit diagonally across the inside of the container. There are two little nooks/cut-outs that hold it in place. Nice idea, but for someone with large hands the fork may not be a comfortable fit as it’s quite small. The lids all snap on tightly, and each has a silicone seal around the outer edge. 3 compartments in each container (one large, two small of the same proportion). like the simplicity of these containers, but…. What I don’t like is that you are somewhat limited as to what you can store in them. Especially if you’re using them for your kids lunches. As parents we know that lunchboxes/bags get tossed around inside the backpack or in order to even fit them in there they have to go in vertically. The problem that arises is if you’re putting fresh fruit in the lunch container (e.g. strawberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, etc.) any liquid that is formed from the lunch sitting leaks all over the rest of the food in the container. Unfortunately I can only use them for foods that do not have the propensity to “leak” or form any type of liquid and ultimately end up having to use additional containers with lids to store these types of foods. So they are not an all-in-one solution in my eyes. I was hoping that the lids were sealed across each compartment, but they definitely are not. As for space, they are pretty decent. They are easy to clean and the lids, after washing with hot water, still seem to fit right and snap on, on each side. Overall, these bento style lunchboxes are underwhelming. Between receiving a damaged container and realizing that the individual compartments are not sealed off with the lid, I unfortunately don’t think I would buy these again and will likely stick with our regular go-to Sistema containers.
