For external SSD this is the best COMPACT enclosure available at an affordable price. The build quality is fantastic & no tools required to install the SSD inside of the casing.Another advantage of this NVMe-M2 enclosure comes with a cooling fan, so tiny & very efficient, effective one which will enhance the life of SSD by avoiding overheating.Another aspect I wish to state is the fan comes with a sensor, so that the fan starts automatically when the temperature rises & switch off itself automatically when it gets cooled.One thing I wish to say is that, after installing the SSD, the thermo pad has to be affixed on the SSD for heat dissipation effectively.Please don’t forget to remove the plastic shield (shown above in pic) from both sides of the thermo pad before affixing on theSSD.Also note, this particular type of enclosure is suitable / compatible only for NVMe-M2 model SSD only. So ensure one’s requirement before placing order.Overall in my opinion this one is the best product & worth for the money.

Its a 9/10 for me.(Unfortunately can't do that here)Overall the product quality is excellent, the machining on the enclosure, the tooless drive accessibility and the provided accessories(both the cables and hard case) are up to spec and feel great.The fan is not constantly on it kicks in when it needs to and is pretty much silent, you'll only feel(not hear) a slight buzz when you hold the drive.It looks huge in the pictures but it is tiny and speeds are as advertised.Coming to ads, the branding on the enclosure is a bit much for me, I get it you need to get the name out but I wish it would have been subtler.The only thing which I feel unsure of is the mechanism to hold the ssd down for 2280 size drives, its a tooless one but it doesn't really feel fully secure. Its basically a bit of plastic protruding in the chassis. For smaller drives you get plastic pins(extra are included-nice touch) which work fine.Overall an excellent product though.

I was in need of an enclosure to use my SSD from old laptop. This PiBox model is just 200 rupees more than the cheapest option. And at 1000 rupees it is well worth the price. The important stuff it works right and has good speeds. But what I like about this product is its perks.- Solid aluminum casing- Cooling Fan- Thermal Pad for SSD- Usb C to Usb C & Usb C to Usb A wires- Carry case- Easy installation- And a free mobile phone standHappy with the purchase.

Short Review: Speeds shows in pics are using the old USB 3.0 port. Also Excellent caring tech support.Long Review:12 years old I had bought a 2.5 inch SATA enclosure and it was one of the best decisions ever from many points of view. Endurance and reliability are paramount to me and my SATA drive in USB 3.0 enclosure still both work but running out of space. So fast forward to now, I bought a gen 4, 2TB NVMe SSD, with high TBW and eventually plan to put SSD in a newer laptop down the line, but in the meantime wanted to use this drive as a backup drive so I needed enclosure for it and I came across this one and the specifications and feature just made the most sense.I am using a 11+ year old laptop with USB 2.0 & 3.0 ports ONLY. No USB 3.1 or 3.2 or 4 (which generally use a form factor USB-C type BUT / SO remember not all USB-C are USB 3.1 and above hence then you WILL get slower speeds if/because your computer/device has the older ports) After I got the drive and setup everything, I ran multiple speed test and have posted the results with this review.Now the best part of this enclosure is the after sales support. Here is the background, I contacted the support because during my testing of several GB of data over many hours, I noticed that the fan never came on. So I contacted them and let me tell you, the after sales just impressed me. I don’t know if it was 1 person or several individuals but I messaged with them several times over WhatsApp and each time this person(s) always had a thorough knowledge, understanding, and comprehension of their product … and SINCERE WILLINGNESS to help out their customer and put their customer FIRST. Even on weekends and around midnight hours, they would THOROUGHLY help you out... these are real geeks / nerds who know their stuff but with humility and professionalism help you understand what’s happening. They explained that 1) This is a smart fan (which I knew) but the fan kicks in if temperature crosses 63 degree for 30 seconds (Which I did NOT know). You open Crystaldiskinfo and check the temp. I checked on diskinfo my temp and it NEVER crossed 42 degrees Celsius… and probably never will if connected to USB 3.0. Likely only if connected to USB 3.2 will enough heat be generated, 2) Small fans have a limited life span hence even in laptops they are not always running but come on only when needed. 3) As seen by the temp monitor, the aluminum shell wicks away the heat efficiently passively without the fan, which probably will be scenario for most of us in most circumstances 4) They could have made this a cheaper product by keeping the fan always on but decided to include the extra circuit at extra cost to make it ‘smart’ so that in case you do end up generating heat beyond 63 degrees e.g. if connected to USB 3.2, then the product will not 'just' passively cool it but ALSO actively cool it with the fan. Just the right balance / optimization !! It gives me assurance that they have done everything that can be done to give my drive and enclosure the maximum endurance and reliability.Everything has been though of. Both types of cables are included ... USB A to C … and USB C to C… both cables have management Velcro straps … great enclosure case …. And tools free installation of drive in the enclosure … And the packaging was excellent.I’m more than satisfied with this product and want to say thank you to their excellent support, which I did not expect by a company unknown to me.

The media could not be loaded. File transfer speed is poor, typically transfers ony in around 300-350 MBPS range via this case, even if you insert a kingston fury 4 TB SSD in it. I noticed that the SSD overheats despite fans running and keeps hot like 60-65 degrees, and is kept hot for long tiem unless kept in front of running air cooler or fan.on top of that even the case is so loose that it comes apart while trying to disconnect the cable from drive enclosure unless hold the plastic part directly.this is the replacement piece, and I checked it late because the SSD i bought to insert came fake so i had to return it. now i can't ask Amazon for help either. good in theory, poor in function.
