Fobus HK1 Standard Hoslter for H&K USP 9mm & .40 Full Size & 9mm .40 & .45 Compact, Ruger SR40, SR9 & SR9C, Walther PPS M2 9mm

Having had 33 years in law enforcement (now retired), I have had countless opportunities to try a myriad of holsters designed for concealment purposes, including the most recent - a SERPA paddle/belt holster. In my most recent search I was looking for something that held the weapon in closer to my body, didn't want to drag my pants down, and have my weapon readily available at a moments notice. I also was looking for a holster with a passive retention system as I am no longer as concerned about "threat level" retention as I was when I was on active duty. The Fobus fit that bill completely and is by far the most comfortable, and concealing holster I have ever had the opportunity to wear. So comfortable in fact, that I don't consciously know I am wearing it. By that I mean, I'm not constantly having to pull it and my pants up, and adjust it's position on my hip. The Fobus stays where you put it the first time.The passive restraint is solid enough to keep it in the holster at all times during normal activities, yet allows you to present the weapon quickly and easily without having to rely on countless hours of ongoing practice and training to develop the muscle memory needed to operate higher threat level holster designs such as thumb breaks, finger press activation, and angled release designs. Obviously, one needs to be aware of weapon retention at all times, regardless of the design chosen and this includes the Fobus.Designed originally for Israeli Mossad Operatives, this is an excellent holster at a very reasonable price that should last you for many years to come.

Fobus HK1 holster is a perfect fit for my Ruger SR9 and SR9C. Holds the weapon firmly in place, but yet it is easy to draw. The paddle grips the belt and waistband perfectly. Will not accidentally come off when drawing the weapon. A very solid and comfortable feel to this holster makes it a pleasure to wear and carry. The holster grabs the front of the trigger guard and after a number of insertions it polishes the satinized finish on the molded nylon part. No real damage to the weapon. I fell that is a small sacrifice, considering how well it holds the weapon in place and releases so well when needed. These are made in Israel for their military. So expect top quality, and get it.

i bought this for my S&W sigma 9mm. i am happy with the product and price,however this holster doesnt seem to fit the gun as smoothly as the other fobus holster that i got for my glock 23. the glock holster accepts the gun,and snaps it in place when the gun is inserted. the holster for the sigma seems a bit small for the gun,and is a little awkward when the gun is holstered or removed. hopefully it will break in after some time. for that reason, i can only give 4 stars. otherwise its very comfortable and well made. i would recommend all fobus holsters, i would look at other reviews too. depending on what brand pistol you are buying it for.

It fits my USPC 45 perfectly. It is snug at the onset. I left the pistol in it for about 10 days. After the break in period it just fits perfect. It fits tight enough not to fall out, but yet easy enough to give a quick snap pull and the pistol comes right out. I am very satisfied with this holster. It is not expensive and it works. It is also very comfortable and very light.I would highly recommend it for the USPC 45.

Fits my SR9c perfectly. Has the right amount of retention and the right cant to make drawing easy. The belt notch fits my belt perfectly, so when I draw the gun, the holster stays put. I tried the paddle tucked inside my pants, but it was a bit uncomfortable and the belt notch didn't fit right, so I just wear the paddle outside as designed. There are no screws or anything inside, so no chance of scratching the barrel (as others have mentioned). It rides high enough up to remain concealed (at least in the Winter when I wear bulky clothing).Overall I really like it. I also have an IWB holster that I wear in the Summer with less clothing, but it's nice to have an OWB and give myself a bit more breathing room while still carrying concealed.

Had trouble finding a holster for my pistol. This holster was inexpensive so I was hesitant to order it. But I am glad I did because it fitsmy pistol perfectly and is easy to put on and take off. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

The holster itself is what I would call very good quality, but on the full size USP, it leaves the trigger completely exposed, which is obviously a huge problem. I would say this holster is only fit for the compact USPs, and not their full sized counterparts, unlike what it says in the item description.

I use this holster whenever I want easy, comfortable open carry. There are some reviews and videos that show it is difficult to draw from this holster. I dispute those claims. When this holster is first used the retention is VERY strong. If you're not wearing a belt, or your holster is not engaged with the belt properly (there's "hooks" that retain the holster under the belt"), the pistol can be hard to draw initially. I resolved this very quickly by unloading the weapon completely, and holstering and drawing repeatedly for about 10 minutes. There is no wear on my Ruger, and the holster now fits as if custom made. I've also purchased this same holster in Smith and Wesson J frame, Ruger LC9, and Makarov. They all hold the same esteem in my eyes.An upgrade I would like to see is an adjustable retention screw, but since there's no mention of adjusting retention in the product, I can't knock a star down for not having it.

Good holster only problem is it separate's at the trigger guard when pistol is put in don't know if it is supposed to do that, so it locks pistol in but still good holster for the price
