Samsung 27" Essential S3 (S36GD) Series FHD 1800R Curved Computer Monitor, 100Hz, Game Mode, Advanced Eye Comfort, HDMI and D-sub Ports, LS27D366GANXZA, 2024

These monitors are a game changer for my home office. Huge upgrade from the standard size and the curve is perfect. Like other others have said the tilt was a problem so I did end up putting them on a desk mount. Set up is very easy and HDMI cables provided worked well. Great product for the price.

Great monitor. Sharp images and small bezel. I love the curved screen. Samsung got it right. It an ever so slight curve. It does not take up any additional space on your desktop. I don’t know about being immersive, but it certainly is comfortable to view. My only wish was that it had a microphone in it too. I still have to use my external speakers, but they are much better than an internal one would sound anyway. This is a great buy for good quality.

I bought two of these to try out curved screens for my job (work from home). I do feel like I don't need to move my head as much as I did with dual flat screens. The screens look great (I'm using for business, I'm not a gamer, but even high res YouTube videos look great to me on these). The stands are OK and I have both screens on the stands right now but I knew I'd be ordering a desktop stand for these. I wanted to be able to adust the height and angle of both screens for comforat as well as being able to set the edges of each screen directly next to each other. I considered one larger curved screen but again, these are for business use and I thought it would be easier to have two separate screens when maximizing apps (there is software for mac/pc to split up a larger screen so that when you maximize it goes to your boundaries and not the entire width of the screen but I didn't want to have to bother with that). The Vivo stand I ordered was only $40 and I think it will work great for my setup. I saw the newer model of these monitors/4k but again, business use and didn't really see the need for those, the price on these is great and I've always purchased Samsung TV's which lasted far beyond the time any normal person would keep them. Great value. I bought 2 to setup side by side to get basically a 48” wide curved monitor. Great resolution. They do take longer than expected to turn on/wake initially. Allows me to have 2-3 zones of focus per monitor visible simultaneously. Great for efficiency if you change tasks frequently. No speakers, so you’ll need a solution for that if your PC doesn’t have speakers. If you want to use them as dual monitors as I did, you will need a dock as they do not daisy chain together.

OVERALL: This is a decent curved monitor, screen looks nice, easy to assemble, some minor drawbacks. Good Value. Background: I am using this monitor to hook up to my mini computer and my Nintendo Switch. This is my second curved monitor that I have owned. Both have been Samsung monitors as my first one was wonderful but got damaged in a flood. So when I was going to set up a new workstation I default went to Samsung to replace my old Samsung. I found this monitor and ordered it quickly. Shipping was fast and it came in undamaged. The Good: Monitor was easy to set up. It is a good size. Screen looks good. The Neutral/Bad: Monitor boasts a 100 hrtz refresh rate. While this is fine for my needs (switch and basic computing) this is probably not good enough for a heavy gamer or someone dealing with advanced graphics. The monitor only has 01 HDMI input. I find this annoying and I have to buy a HDMI switch in order to switch between my nintendo and my computer. The Monitor does not have built in speakers. My last one had built in speakers and I was spoiled with that simple feature. Overall if you are looking for a basic curved monitor with decent specs, I believe this is a good candidate. However if you are looking for something with the most advanced refresh rates and multiple HDMI inputs, you may want to look a tier or two up. Was a perfect upgrade from a regular monitor. Loved the curve screen and the size was spot on. Great for moderate level gamer.

GREAT Picture and Sleek Design! I’m really impressed with this Samsung monitor. The picture quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and the refresh rate makes everything look super smooth. It was easy to set up right out of the box, and the slim design looks great on my desk. The adjustable stand is a nice touch too. Perfect for both work and gaming — definitely worth the price!

It works great as a second monitor. I have it hooked up to my Mac desktop and it functions just as it should!
