Best Refurbished Laptop that I have ever bought
I needed a basic good laptop for my media needs. I have a lot of music and am a nature photographer. I wanted something that I could use to setup for use with iTunes and Adobe. I also wanted something that would be a light laptop for travel. I didn't want to spend a lot of money as this is just essentially a travelling media server.I wanted an HP Elitebook with 8GB RAM, Windows 10, and a 500GB Hard drive. And I wanted to spend under 250 dollars.I received my laptop from this vendor and it is great. It looks brand new. The setup instructions were simple and clear. I was pleased to see that this was a basic machine, and the boot image wasn't loaded up with a bunch of junk software. I couldn't be more pleased. Now for the best part. My touchpoint was missing its cover (this is the little mouse button in the middle of the keyboard between the G,B, & H keys). I called the support number, and they immediately resolved my issue. I received via overnight a replacement cover.I would use this vendor again. I would also recommend such a laptop for a student. The graphics are basic, but for almost all normal applications and games this is a lot of computer for 245 bucks.

I bought it for a CentOS Linux Stream 8 stable operation platform. KVM Virtual Boxes, and Win10 too.
I liked having this computer as my primary work P.C. for a few years plus eventually buying a personal one just like this for myself to use for Linux labs and learning. I always add 16GB of RAM and virtualization environments to these so that they are more useful in my labs.

Good computer, bad battery.
Its a good computer for work, school and light gaming. Mine came with a couple of scrapes and scratches on the side mostly around the input areas but nothing to noticeable unless you're really looking for them. The mouse and keyboard are a bit awkward but I got used to them pretty quickly. The only thing I really don't like about it is the battery, It lasts around 3-4 hours on power saving. which would be fine at home but doesn't last me the full day at school where I really don't have a place to plug it in. But the problem seems to be fixable as it seems to have a place for a secondary battery, and from what I've looked up the current price, they average around 30 dollars.

Failed after 5 months, Tech Ventures won't
TL/DR: Not recommended. Problems as received, HD died after 5 months. Seller says no warranty despite using a 1-year warranty as a selling point.Purchased in March '22. I didn't have concerns when ordering, after all it was advertised as being in "Excellent Condition", backed by the "90 day Amazon Renewed Guarantee", and a 1 year warranty. What could go wrong? (Don't ever ask that question, you might find out. . . . )As received, the right half of the tracking pad and the bottom 2 mouse keys didn't work; I mostly use a mouse, so I didn't worry about this. A couple weeks later the battery's "full charge" only powered the computer for about 15 minutes before shutdown. Bought a new battery. At just shy of 5 months, the hard drive failed. I contacted the seller--Tech Ventures--via Amazon to find out the terms of the warranty. Seller says there is no warranty. Hmm. It looks like the bottom picture in the sales blurb still shows the purchase comes with "Laptop", "AC Adapter", "Technical Support", and "1 Year Warranty" So which is it, Tech Ventures?I contacted Amazon's Customer Support, they said they'd contact the seller. Since then, the only thing I've heard is crickets.Shop carefully. I got ripped off, but it gave me a reason to buy a new laptop: one that actually WORKS.

Highly recommend.
Great value for $250 (after tax and delivery). Very smooth transitions, loads apps within 1 second. Even runs CS:GO at 60 frames per second (which is smooth performance. I have had this laptop for 2 weeks and I have used 300 gigabytes of the hard drive already, and this slows the performance of the computer. I went ahead and replaced the hard drive with a solid state drive, which made this computer load everything INSTANTLY. Runs faster and smoother than my brothers $900 desktop that he built. This is not a gaming rig, but it runs very fast for CS:GO which is the other reason I bought this PC besides for schoolwork. I highly recommend this PC, have not had any problems with it besides that I have to purchase a windows 10 product key, but this is optional.

It came without a scratch
I have to say that i was pleased with what i got. I never bought a renewed product before. With the kids home from school because of the corvid-19 quarantine we needed another laptop for schooling. There isnt a scratch, nick, or blemish on it. The cord looks brand new. It works like new. It comes with a 1 year warranty which is great but i also got the extended warranty. Its pretty fast but a small screen at 14 in. Size doesnt seem to make a difference for me considering its for my 8 year old son. It may make a difference to others. I know its a hit or miss on the quality of the product you get when its renewed. I got lucky and I'm very happy with it.

OK if you look for some cheaper option. Not good quality charger
Initially, I got some issues with the charger and laptop. After a few days of using it, the laptop wants working may be some issues with the operating system. I contacted support and they got it replaced since it was under warranty but again after few days there were issues with charger and support didn't respond this time when I tried to contact them and had to bring a new charger on my own expense. Charger quality was very bad don't work even for 4 months.

This was a great deal - looked and felt new
I got this for my son who needed a faster computer. It's got a nice i5 processor at a decent clock speed and solid graphics (no discreet card). But he is very happy with the performance. On the one we received the hard drive did crash outside the warranty period - I replaced it with a $50 SSD drive and now the laptop is faster than ever. Aside from the packaging - I could not tell that this was not a brand new computer - no scratches or dents or dead pixels. The battery was able to hold 100% charge. If you're looking fro a laptop for basic gaming and schoolwork - you cannot beat the price and performance of this one.
