Asthetically pleasing and functional
Just recieved my hob top kettle. Three days early and as some have mentioned, it is a little weighty due mostly to the steel/iron sandwich base which is perfect for 180mm size hob rings as the base overlaps the ring but the outer edge is not in contact with the hob top. Weighty but not heavy. Looks lovely. Bigger than initislly thought it would be, but not too big. Great design and functionality, with a pleasant whistle. Holds a good amount of water too, with the max mark just above the spout base. Would recommend you get one!

Not to be hidden away it looks great and welcoming
Stunning looking kettle as you can see mirror glass stainless steel, nice and sturdy with a wide base, slightly heavy so it's not thin and poorly made. Easy to keep the mirror finish inside too with purifier crystals. Easy to pure with reading trigger and a great whistle to alert you it's boiling .

Efficient and Reliable Kettle
I'm pleased with this whistling stove top kettle. It boils water quickly and is well-made.

Good value
For £16 this kettle seems a good deal. Its big, shiny and feels sturdy. The mechanism isnt particularly smooth and its pretty heavy, moreso when half full so if you dont like cast iron pots and pans cos of the weight dont get this as its similarly heavy and will need 2 hands especially to get the last of the water out. The whistle is good when the gas is on anything more than low flame BUT if you are the type to leave the kettle on a very low flame to make the most efficient boil this kettle may be useless as the whistle doesnt work at such a low heat (unlike a ten pound cheap kettle from the orange\range which whistles at very low flame use) which i think is due to the rather large whistle holes. However for sixteen pounds its a surprising deal.

Extremely well-made. Robust & beautiful.
Absolutely superb kettle. Searched for a long time for a stainless steel whistling kettle. This is, hands down, the best there is. So well made I bought a second in case it eventually goes out of stock, as all well-made items go these days. Doesn’t need electricity, and stays looking good. So happy.

Excellent boat kettle
Used this kettle intensively on a sailing boat for 6 weeks now. Worked well and very pleased with it. Wide base makes it very stable and easy to clamp to the stove. It has stayed in place through some nasty weather. Works equally well on gas and induction hob. Whistle is very audible, but make sure the lid is fully down for the whistle to work. Only minor issue is that we find it quite hard to judge how full it is when adding water. Clever people can measure how much they are putting in.

Design problems
Very good quality and nice looking, BUT it has to very big drawbacks, the spout is quite small, so you need to remove the lid each time in order to fill it, which can be daunting if you find you need to refill after just using, as the steam hits your hand. The second problem, is that to open the spout, you have to use your fingers to press the spring lever that's under the handle and this pressure must be maintained whilst pouring out the water as it does not stay open unless you keep on the pressure. This can be a bit of a pain. A better design would be a lever on top, that you could press with your thumb 👍 also letting a spring, keep the spout open for pouring. We are probably going to have to replace this kettle in the near future as it's driving us mad.
